@jfing12 let me guess, you tried to build many reactors at the same time. first you need to have enough energy to build them. do it one after the other, not simultaneously. watch your energy management: collection-depletion-deficit. when you have 1 or 2 deficit for a few seconds, that's ok, but when deficit builds up and up for a long time then either you're building too much stuff or you're killing too much creeper.

@M0zebra It's not that bad - you need energy. Start with a few collectors, and reactors. Gotta be fast to get the initial energy. A single blaster will protect you from a thin flood (all you need to worry about for now). Build out, make sure you're protected by SAMs, focus on energy production for ages - you need lots. Mortars destroy a ton of creeper in both depth and AOE - but they need lots of power to work. Takes a bit to get the hang of, but it's worth it.

Tidbit99. I use Safari on my Mac and the game plays "normally". It is less colorful than other versions, but Evermore gives you a new map every day. While some days are easy (times under 2 minutes), other days can take me up to 15 minutes. Many of the regulars rarely take over 10 minutes. MAIN IDEA: Don't build a lot at the beginning. If your ENERGY goes from a surplus (green) to a deficit (red), you are building too much. Try to keep your energy creation so that you have neither a surplus or a deficit. Usually start out by building collectors on high ground, and grab an upgrade or 2 if you can. If your energy is in a big deficit, your weapons will only fire once in a while. Keep your energy creation going so that your weapons won't starve. I hope that helps. Many of us have been playing this version for a few years.

@chilese, sorry for being unclear, what I meant was I never tried out whether a charged totem continues to work if it is disconnected - I always end up connected to everything I've built.
Maybe the backstory says what you say, but the game mechanics suggest that all the packets - build/ammo/charge - use up the energy collected/produced locally. Anyway my approach comes from the fact that I first played CW3:Abraxis where you have nullifiers and the goal is actually to destroy emitters. On some maps I even find myself going for the emitters and having to remind myself I only need to reach the totems. :)
Bottom line is, I agree that there's no wrong way to play this game.

BeDoHa: My priorities in playing are (in order) capping all emitters, collecting from the maximum possible amount of land space, placing the city as close as possible to where I guess the warp-out point will be, time (mainly just avoiding survival mode, which would jeopardize my control of the map).
In all the times I've played, I think I've only once managed to get Odin City sitting right on the exact warp-out point.

This game could do with a big clear link to the Creeper World Training Sim. This edition is more for people who already know how to play the game - so if you're struggling, try the Training Sim first. Or use the pause button (building while paused is a huge advantage) and move the city (starting position is rarely optimal) options more.

Sanfdz: The full game (available if you click 'Play More', ridiculously cheap at $9.95) has the storyline of where it came from and what is it, stuff like that.

Want some more challenges? 9/8 - Take and hold both your starting island and the island to the west from the start. 9/9 - Move Odin City to the high ground on the west side at the start.

This game need a protection hidden clock. When the gametime up to more than 6:00Hrs the game closes. Its can save lifes! 5/5

Sometimes I find it sad that the score is only based on the time. I love to completely cap the creepers, to take the world back... But the score, the holy score... she punishes me for my obsession.

It was fun building a massive defence in survival mode then turning off the ammo packets and watching all you have built be destroyed

what would be cool is if you could target a specific place on the drones so when they recharge you could make them go in a squad

This may be an unpopular statement, but Creeper World is rife with the option to create your own difficulty/fun without needing defined difficulties. If you're bored or finding it easy, just restrict your usable units yourself, or give the creeper a minute's head start until it's fun again. I don't remember the last map I played "fair".

I have played and beaten the new creeper world 3, and I honestly thing that this is the most brutal game in the creeper world series.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like trying to beat the creeper all the way back to a blaster on each generator. I would like to know peoples times for that mode of gameplay.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wow, it is just amazing that you can go from that one simple city to this huge organization that instantly eleminates the creeper. The only sad part is that you just abondon your city just to move onto a next one.

Am I the only one who builds a massive network ensuring that there is zero creeper coverage before even turning on the totem packets?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Am I the only one that disables the totem packets until I've gotten blasters posted next to each spigot so the board is dry before ending the game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I spend about fifty minutes on each level to make it more fun. I make plans and use drones to clear an area out then I send my blasters there. I try to get the totems at the end. At the end of the level, I have a huge area filled with collectors and reactors and areas with blasters with full ammo.

DEV, I'm not sure how often you update this, but a little change could be on the level selection screen when you roll over a played map, moving the time to the same line as the score and then listing up to 6 plays. Sometimes I will replay a map more then once and would like to compare what I got.

Minute 59, so close to victory, every inch brutally fought for, I'm starting to power up the last node to finally get off this blasted planet and then? SURVIVAL MODE! Focker steamrolls me into oblivion! 5/5

It makes me so sad when the Odin leaves, and all the collectors and blasters and such all get consumed by the creeper.
