Sometimes I find it sad that the score is only based on the time. I love to completely cap the creepers, to take the world back... But the score, the holy score... she punishes me for my obsession.

It was fun building a massive defence in survival mode then turning off the ammo packets and watching all you have built be destroyed

what would be cool is if you could target a specific place on the drones so when they recharge you could make them go in a squad

This may be an unpopular statement, but Creeper World is rife with the option to create your own difficulty/fun without needing defined difficulties. If you're bored or finding it easy, just restrict your usable units yourself, or give the creeper a minute's head start until it's fun again. I don't remember the last map I played "fair".

I have played and beaten the new creeper world 3, and I honestly thing that this is the most brutal game in the creeper world series.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like trying to beat the creeper all the way back to a blaster on each generator. I would like to know peoples times for that mode of gameplay.

Wow, it is just amazing that you can go from that one simple city to this huge organization that instantly eleminates the creeper. The only sad part is that you just abondon your city just to move onto a next one.

Am I the only one who builds a massive network ensuring that there is zero creeper coverage before even turning on the totem packets?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Am I the only one that disables the totem packets until I've gotten blasters posted next to each spigot so the board is dry before ending the game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I spend about fifty minutes on each level to make it more fun. I make plans and use drones to clear an area out then I send my blasters there. I try to get the totems at the end. At the end of the level, I have a huge area filled with collectors and reactors and areas with blasters with full ammo.

DEV, I'm not sure how often you update this, but a little change could be on the level selection screen when you roll over a played map, moving the time to the same line as the score and then listing up to 6 plays. Sometimes I will replay a map more then once and would like to compare what I got.

to the dev of this game... ive read through your blog and cant seem to find it but is there a date for the relase of CW3?

Minute 59, so close to victory, every inch brutally fought for, I'm starting to power up the last node to finally get off this blasted planet and then? SURVIVAL MODE! Focker steamrolls me into oblivion! 5/5

It makes me so sad when the Odin leaves, and all the collectors and blasters and such all get consumed by the creeper.

That feeling when the city escapes, but for those couple seconds you watch your entire grid slowly cough and collapse.....

I had an idea for future creeper games. Hear me out. Once a good enough base is established the game becomes rather easy. To introduce a new challenge to the game, why not have another unfriendly "nation" that is also trying to harvest energy and escape the creeper? This other nation (or nations?) would force a two front war and could make for an interesting challenge. Perhaps a challenge mode? Whatcha think?

@Volxani, it's under the Kongregate game description on the right. It's not random; Survival Mode always begins at 60 minutes, or if you press the "Survival!" button, whichever comes first. Survival Mode can be a fun challenge if you've got a defensible position.

ok, im playing this a long time now, but today, the 5th of january 2013, i couldn´t beat the map for the first time!
could someone help me please how to start this?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the map today (4/16) a lot! :) gathering upgrades at start, tight unflooded spaces, spores... I built MANY drones today :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When in doubt... when drones in the masses aren't enough... mass produce mortars and lasers and launch them into a suicide mission to claim important ground... just remember to back them up later. XD

If you want easy levels, try Creeper World: User Space. This is a neverending map expansion using algorithms to generate a map.

@inyourface45 has got it right. Get to high ground (should be relatively small and far from the creep), put down collectors, and then mortars to cover cliff edges. Then reactor away as you do creep control on all sides. Once out of deficit, add storage and speed. Build mortars on ridges to cut paths off. Drone the deep pools of creep, and rush in with blasters. Disarm every weapon off the frontline, and shift Odin forward to speed things up.

July 14th seems completely impossible. Nowhere useful to site the base. Starting position is too small to defend, as you can't get enough energy. And the creeper is heading downhill towards you. Can't reach the top island in time, before the creeper's already got it.
Any ideas, anyone?

@Bozotic: never. all maps are winnable. the rest of this comment isn't to brag, but to let you see why you can trust my opinion. i play this since way before 2013. probably i played CW:E daily soon after it was first published on kongregate (autumn 2011). the badges to the game were published on aug.10th 2013 and i earned them that day based on my previous stats and because i played that day, too. i didn't play many other games since i found this one. even big games like starcraft or rise of nations just collect dust in some of my drawers. if i play, i play this. if you wanna see one of my tutorials for a difficult map check out the 3rd video on this playlist: http://tiny.cc/cw-tutorials-2016-08-24

The best on this game is that you can set the difficulty level as high as you want to by making up any rules. Obviously there is a basic difficulty level set by the map you play and by the game itself - you need to learn some basics to win just like in any other game. But as soon as you're done learning the energy management and properties of the city, units and buildings, you're good to go and set your own rules to make it more difficult to win. Survival mode, top time score, not moving the city, not using some weapons or buildings... it's up to you :)

One tip I haven't seen is to start each game off by moving your city to a high elevation if it starts off at a low elevation. Then just follow everyone else's tips and people should find this game much easier.
