Like it...though it get a little old after 20 or so levels. Needs better instructions. Had to find out by accident that you can hit the wall to turn the game on its side.

Anyone who still thinks this game is all luck should check out some of the gameplay vids on YouTube (including my own). You can't tell me that the difference between making 15,000 or so on a single launch, and staying aloft for over 16 minutes and making over 6,000,000 is nothing but luck! (BTW, it wasn't me that did that).

Oop! Mea culpa! I take back much of the negativity of that last comment. Just noticed I wasn't signed in! (*blush*)

Okay game, GOOD music. Doesn't play well with the Kongregate engine, to the extent that the author has even mentioned it in his own comments. Sure enough, I got my rewards, no badge. Got my 25 awards, no card. Great. Did everything suggested above, still no love.

Cool game. Very well animated. Especially nice touch: I like the movement of the menu buttons as they go on and off the screen. At first I was resistant to rearranging my skill points, but I was having trouble finishing levels. Now I know: at your earliest convenience, reset your skill points and max out your high grade starter gems. Having six grade 7 gems on the screen at once is a blast! BTW: Internet chain mail is bad enough via email. People who post it in comments on sites like this should be immediately banned.

Oy! Just nailed the first epic boss. First I concentrated on mana pool until I had a mana cap of about 9000. Meantime, I built myself an ambush of five level five gems around the top right corner of the screen. Then, I built six more towers in the bends of the road. When the epic boss finally came out, I hit him hard in the ambush, but as he went out of range of the first gem, I moved it down the road to the next empty tower. I kept doing that so that each gem could nail him at least twice. By the time he came back through for his second lap, not only did he have less than 1500 hit points left, I had all of my gems back in their original positions in the ambush, and I wiped him out. Took me two days to figure out how to do it.

...I like the "ghosts" that gravitate toward you in 2 each time you hit an enemy, powering up your boom bar, and would like to see them in AE. I also like that, in 2, you can fall on a falling bomb, which is quite difficult in AE, due to the faster gameplay. Also like that your enemies actually dive and crash in AE. Initially didn't like the "loss of focus" error, but I definitely came to see the efficacy of having the game automatically pause in Co-op Mode when the helicopter's sight left the stage. Perhaps the best advantage of AE, though, is the animation. Like the perspective in the animation-- the background goes by slower than the foreground. In short, I'd love to see a combination of 2 and AE, but especially using the graphics and animation of AE, rather than the flat, cartoonish look of 2.

Here's the promised comprehensive review... IndestructoTank AE pretty much has it all up on Indestruct2Tank: Better graphics, better music production (the music itself is the same, but in many ways, it sounds better on this game), better physics (or at least just as good), boom bar (lacking in classic mode on 2), quicker score tallying when you complete a combo, and the ability to get your tank part way off the screen, rather than having it stop before the edge of the screen as in 2 (I called that "glass edges" in my comments on 2). I like the math used to calculate score in 2, and the availability of different tanks. Also, story mode is fun, and would be a nice addition to this game. Co-op mode was a fantastic challenge to play alone, and I'm sure it would be a lot of fun with two players. I like that in AE, the bombers drop their bombs fast enough that you can hit them, unlike in 2. To be cont'd...

Yep, I was right. After buying all of my Homers and Miners, I lasted about eight seconds, which was about five seconds longer than I thought I would.

GOT IT! CO-OP MEDAL -- SINGLE HANDEDLY! The final hint: Max out your first three enemies: Bombers, Bouncers and Gunners, then stop buying enemies. Use your helicopter alone to shoot down as many enemies as possible in order to keep your tank on the ground while shooting down missiles. By level ten or so, just shooting down missiles will get you enough experience to progress in levels while racking up the cash to buy enemies later on. Then, when you have about 3500 or 4000 or so points in reserve, you can buy all of your Homers and Miners at once. That way, you never have them buzzing around, flipping your tank into the air and keeping it there. I'm sure that when I go back to the game, now, I will die in seconds since the screen will be full of Miners and Homers. After that happens, I will post a more reasonable review of the game.

One more thing: shoot down enemies with your helicopter, especially in later levels (again, on one-person co-op mode). You don't gain experience, but again, it keeps your tank on the ground.

Oh, yeah, and another hint for one-person co-op mode: just buy your enemies in order. Don't get homers or miners early, because they get your tank in the air and keep it there. And its easier to avoid missiles if you're on the ground.

Okay, man obsessed time again. One more medal to get: Co-op. Except I don't have anyone to co-op with, so I'm doing it alone. Getting really close, now. Hints: keep your butt down. It stops being about combos and starts being about keeping your damned tank on the the damned ground and shooting down missiles with your helicopter. Also, playing cross-handed. I'm much better on the arrow keys with my left hand than I am on the mouse. And I'm on a laptop, so I have a pointing device in the middle, and arrow keys on the right. Suggestion: it would be nice if the user could define the controls.

The word, I believe, is... WOOT! Finally got that last medal, classic mode hard. By the time you get to level 11 or so, you really have to try to do the whole level in one or two combos of 30 or more. Now to find out what that last secret is...better be good!

I am a man obsessed...MUST...HAVE...LAST...MEDAL...This has become the game I love to hate. So many things I don't like...and yet I gave it four stars and I can't stop playing. I was right, too...classic hard is definitely the most difficult, due to the lack of a boom bar.

Biggest annoyance...bigger than the "glass edges" of the screen, bigger than when you get such a good combo the game skips a level on you, bigger than when you've bought all of these enemies and they still dribble out one at a time...biggest annoyance: when you've got a great combo and are all ready to advance, and you hit the ground to collect your points, but you run out of fuel and die before the points finish tallying. If you've got the points, you should advance.

Dislike: the "glass edges" of the screen: you can see an enemy leaving the screen, but your tank stops before it hits him.

BTW: I figure the hard classic medal will be the most difficult of them all. No boom bar.

Whew! Finally got the hard enhanced medal. One tip: if there's nothing else to crash into, aim for a falling bomb. The bouncers are particularly good for this. Anything to keep you in the air. Nice touch: the alternate tanks. I've been playing as Tankman. Only one medal to go: the hard classic medal. There should be a hard Kongregate badge for getting all the medals.
