Tips for anyone aiming for the impossible badge:
1) Aim to survive, not to get gems. If you live long enough, you'll get 500k just by going for the easy gems. Don't go for gems or powerups you're not sure you can get. Some paths are almost impossible to survive. Try to stay near the top of the screen (but don't go offscreen upwards or you might get knocked back down to your death by an unseen enemy).
2) Be decisive. Don't just make the right choice about what route to take, but make it quickly and stick with it even if you're wrong. Delaying can cost you the run, and switching - even if you switch to the better path - can lead to another death.
3) Save your powerups until you really need them. It can be tempting to kill enemies because they're going to hit you, or stop time to go for a white gem, but powerups can be lifesavers. Try to avoid using them unless you're in danger of dying.
4) Learn the different segments of the tower and plan for them. Be aware that enemy spawns can vary.

Just got the impossible badge after about 2 weeks of playing. Exited on Floor 105 with 506k. Do the other 3 badges before doing this, so that you don't have any in-game achievement notices interrupting you. Full concentration helps. Turn the Music off so that its catchiness doesn't distract you. DO NOT TURN OFF the SFX--you NEED to hear those Pogo enemies coming. Proper use of items are PARAMOUNT; use items ONLY if needed or if you're about to collect another item. Take small breaks at specific intervals to calm your nerves, if needed [I breaked every 100k]. Do NOT try to outrun the screen--you never know what's up there, and it could end your streak faster than you can blink. Remember which White diamonds to avoid like the plague--some simply cannot be gotten without the time stop item. Most importantly, though, DON'T GET GREEDY. Plz + this.

Oh wow. I was at 500050 and in front of a door, my heart was literally pumping so hard I could feel it, and I forgot how to go into doors, I don't think I've ever panicked so much in my life.

Just made 400k+. Saw a diamond that looked oh so simple to get. 2 Pogo stick DEMONS jumped me and shoved me 80 floors down. I have a hole in my soul :(

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating you all sooner. I had assumed most of you already knew, but I see now that I was wrong. I’m still alive!
About 5 years ago I changed my studio name to the temporary “The Village Blacksmith”, or “ThatBlacksmith” on Kongregate until I finally settled on my current name “2D Heroes” in early 2013. I released a few games under each of those names on Kongregate, but eventually moved on to bigger and better things.

This is how to get all 4 badges at once, but you can do them separately. First, click survival mode. Just keep climbing until you get to your first door. Make sure you collected every sapphire possible. Go into the door, bank your gems, and keep going up, trying to get as many trophies as you can. At every door you see, bank your gems, so you don't get too high of a floor. If you want the "Scaling the Ivory Tower" badge, do NOT enter the door on floor 24, because it won't work. Just keep climbing until you get to the next door up from floor 25, then exit tower, make sure not to click "Bank Gems". The "Bank Gems" trick is how you get the impossible badge. You might get to an insanely high floor, but at every door, just keep banking your gems. You will soon rack up five hundred thousand dollars, then when you do, you can exit the tower. If you have the easy, medium, and impossible badge, then just look at trophies and see what you need to do to get them, and there you go, 110 points!

FYI - The bank gems feature doesn't actually bank your gems. It might as well be called 'pay me so you can skip two floors.' The only reason you should bank gems is to skip floors for the climbing trophies. If you die before exiting the tower, no money is saved, no trophies are saved, none of your floors or kills count towards your trophy totals. So what's the point of 'banking' gems?

If you see a white screen before playing, right click the game area and press "play" rather than the selected option "loop"

A little hint: You can easily get that one white gem in the floor where you would have to jump up and then go down again (which would probably end up in a suicide.) But you can also get the gem simply by going under the gem and jumping.

You know that flashing you get that's mean to mean "you just got hit, you're invincible for a moment so you're not spammed by enemies"? That's a lie, that little blue git that leaps around hits you once and you're dead because you aren't going anywhere afterwards since it'll git you until the screen comes up
