*BUG* each time a foe dies because of taint dropping him to 0, he doesn't die and also his taint is reduced to 0 immediatly.

The ability to edit the deck would be welcome. I'm getting good new cards, but I can't use them because they're buried in an increasingly large deck.

I'm not sure if you have implemented it or not. But a volume control, or mute button would rock, although I do really like the accompanying SFX, I find it can interfere with blaring my mp3 player. :)

Schizo really really needs to be fixed. Was much better at +3 for both taint and arcane. Right now comp has a defense of 18 so i can't even hurt him anymore.

Cheeseball - saves from the very first version of the game dont work anymore, if you had a save from that. Sorry about that. But from now on they do work for me, so hopefully wont be a problem going forward.

Hmm my saved game is sorta messed up. The first battle the rank of me and the comp. didn't show. The hp was also blank. But after I use taint and waited for a turn the opponent's hp dropped to about 1( some where below 10) and i just attacked once and won. Now in the next battle my stats are fine by every time the opponent is blanks and gets 1 hp when i use taint on this

Awesome updates, can you add a back to menu button in game or something? Some rounds you know you are done for and would rather start that round again, a menu or quit would save refreshing the whole page.
Also when you use the stakeout card? (i think that's what it's called) to show your opponents cards is there anyway to get them to appear on the big display on rollover or something else you sometimes can't tell what cards they actually have.

Good point. Well i like the game and look forward to any improvements you are gonna make. It would be nice if the game got some badges.

I think it can make things a little harder regards to advancing well. I think its better that way though that if you don't like your score, it gets saved anyway. As API is now implemented, I'd like a game that can't be reloaded again just to get a better score. That's why you don't know your score till the round is over. I hope it works well for most players.

No problem. I like the game enough that i'll keep playing anyways. Although going up from level 1 may be a bit harder IMO with the autosave every level. But i guess that might just be me and wanting to be 3+ levels ahead of the comp.

Nice, but monsters should be more powerful: actually they are just a nuisance. A better presentation also is required to avoid the "beta version" feeling this game still shows.

Re-uploaded again, saves appear to work fine from previous version. Full API stats for various things now available, and hopefully working.

Good game, a bit slow for my liking. Took me a good few hours to complete. Only real thing is I believe the monsters should be stronger to balance it out, they had very little bearing on the game till I got one that could hit 10.

Sorry about the save issue, but it would appear to be unavoidable unless I rewrite the entire save code. The saves would work if the file name of the uploaded version was the same - I'll make sure it is the same, BUT, if the site here renames it in any way (for uniqueness) the saves will never be compatible. I'll make sure to keep my uploads the same name, I hope that this site doesn't change them automatically.

I think in the process of updating the game it somehow messed up my autosave. I went back and it sent me to level 20...I am actually on level 9 or 10. Now, im angry.

I’ve just uploaded a new version with basic score API (I’ll need to research a bit more for the other stats first) and I’m giving the sanity an overhaul in a later version. I’ve added the discard option as per request (few people mentioned it) and I’m going to use the discard as a way to gain sanity, because I plan to make insanities more of a dangerous effect for the player.

Amazing game, well designed, fun concept, and you've said there will be updates (always good). Hope that you can implement the API cause this game would be even better with some badges. 6/5.

It should also be noted that the creatures that you summon are rediculously underpowered. The difference between Byakhee and Shoggoth is three points of damage reduced by his arcane defence. I mean, come on, I've summoned the massive and mind destroying Shoggoth, and my opponent (a mere mortal) can pretty much ignore him as long as he's boosted his arcane defence a couple points and got any creature out. Since there are two base cards that boost arcane defence (and more later) frequently I've found that the summoned creatures are far less important that boosting your stats. Especially considering that creatures only do damage when their owners are attacked. In the long run, I've found taint to do far more damage than summoning creatures.

I really like this game but there are alot of things that bugged me
For example the running out of sanity really felt more like a slap on the wrist than a punishment. I found it was more useful to simply run myself out of sanity with whatever powerful attacks I could draw. If sanity loss should later become something to pay attention to, having a discard instead of play option would be nice, especially if you gained a minor bonus for discarding, say 2 sanity.

Play should be a bit faster - After getting accostumed to it the game feels very sluggish, mostly waiting around for it to resolve the turn rather than playing.

Good, solid concept for a card game. This game is doubly dependent on randomness, however.
First is the randomness of cards you and the computer get. Regardless of skill, good/bad cards can make you win/lose.
Second, there is the insanity that is picked. Some aren't a problem, but others are killer. What's worse is some insanities (e.g. Meglomania that adds +5 Taint and +5 Arcane each round) can turn a +Arcane attack card into a one shot killer.
Given the high dependence on randomness, the save game controls need to be given to the player. An auto-save every three levels makes it way too hard to ensure you level up appropriately fast.
