At last! A fast-paced game that is challenging yet possible for people who don't spend all their time honing their skills on it. I have yet to get 3000 points on this game, in fact I haven't gotten anywhere near that, but I'm still interested in trying harder. It's only downfall to me is that the upgrading doesn't seem to be very effective. Good work! 5/5

Omg, I actually won with 16 engine, by logically deducting the way the boss was moving, when he's horizontal move vertical, when he's vertical move horizontal, the trick is to only move one longitudinal direction at a time.

did what phaleux said and beat it, except i did 80 sheild 30 move and rest weapons, great game, but could use a pause 4/5

I enjoyed this game a decent amount even if it did get frustrating. The final boss was cool.
I split upgrades mostly evenly between shot and shields, with a touch of ethers spent on speed (my final stats were like 14/98/100). That plus some careful dodging/shooting got me through the game
I'd suggest adding something that allows the API to keep track of how few continues a player uses; that seems like a good additional challenge.

Well, I love the graphics/animations, sound and music, and how it shakes the screen when you get hit (cool effect). However, having no pause button, if i need to get up for a second or switch windows, I have no choice but to just die, that's lame. Also, I had trouble aiming and shooting, seems like the aim is off. Initial velocity of the bullets should match ship's velocity, then add the bullet velocity on top. Personally, I just got swarmed, couldn't dodge and couldn't aim effectively... nice game overall but could be improved I think.

Eh ok is it me or is it basically impossible to outfly anything/ it seems like no matter what i do I get quarterback sacked by the blobs. 2/5

SUCKS! You developers need to realize that not everyone has a light-speed processor. Needs quality settings [Great, Good, Ok, Fair, Bad, & WTF?], and FAR fewer pixels to animate.
If I could, I'd rate it "-5/5"

Well, got to lvl 16, didnt have anywhere near enough shields to deal with the randomspawn/explosions. I don't feel like restarting and im sick on seeing continue. Will not be going for the hard badge.

I played through twice, and the first time I went for mostly shields (like 2:1 with guns) and I couldn't dodge the final boss so I started over and went for 30 speed, 75 shield, and the rest guns.
That worked. Just get lots of shields first so you can live, then get your speed up with your guns. Once you get 20+ speed you can just move and shoot behind you and kill 90% of a level in the first few seconds.

game was hard to get used to at first, but got more manageable as time progressed. upgrading the weapon tremendously (>120) helps a lot! i'm not even going to frustrate myself with the hard mode.

sorry to keep posting, but I have to comment how people are saying the screen is too crowded, well, duh it's supposed to be difficult. I think the best weapon in the game comes 80-85 power. It is a force field shot that I think goes through enemies. my ending was 85 power, 35 engine, and 90 shield. A nice balnce between a fast paced game, a strategy game, and a shooter. (strategy because you need to order your power- ups in a good way.

oh and people who say the speed upgrade does nothing, yes it does, I was going faster than every enemy by my 30th upgrrade point in it

Jestertrek has no idea what he's talking about. I can see the little origanality part but only a little of it. I agree with the music. Has good replay value (hard mode) I found a couple levels quite difficult and there is no trick needed in level 21 if you just dodge the big thing and shoot at it. What trick? I beat level 21 on my second try ( because I didn't realize how much I had to move away from it, it's bigger than you may think). anyways, 5/5, don't listen to the haters.

It's really hard for me! The shaking is really annoying, the the music is gay! You could have atleast added a mute button! Overall, I don't think it's really bad, but I don't think it's good. 3/5.

+1 for a very small amount of originality, and the good music. But 2/5 overall because the rest of the game isn't original at all (moving center shooter? another? why?), has zero replay value, and is far too easy for levels 1 through 20 and far too hard in level 21. In fact, level 21 is essentially impossible unless you know the trick. All of that makes this a poor game.
