Under rating threshold (show) There's the skeleton of a good game here, I know it. Enemies bypass "tough" into the realm of "gratuitously beefy," even building fully strength and grinding for the best possible weapons. The writing is shaky at best and abysmal at worst, often unclear and certainly never compelling. The graphics, which have been taken wholesale from Zelda and RPG Maker, clash horribly with each other. I found myself just glazing over all the text and just skimming for however many of what I needed to kill, which I NEVER do. This game could use a lot of improvement, but it's got a good base system to work with.

Under rating threshold (show) The one thing that bothers me about this is the pushing feature. You make some items pushable and not others, and then you can only push them one space at a time. The inconsistency and limitedness of this is really annoying and irritating, especially because if you mess things up you have to leave and come back to a screen.

Under rating threshold (show) There's lot of grinding, but it's doable. I went for axe as it seems it's the weapon which gives more damage (raw dmg + poison for the best one). Stats full strength, and skills max Axe Mastery and Berserker Hit. Allow 5 to 10 points in Money Collector and Student to help for grinding. Then put 3 points in Sword Mastery and give all the remaining skill points in Natural Armor which gives a nice boost to health. As soon as you can, get the best axe - remember that you can sell the equipped one for 90% of the purchase price. Get vitality equipment when it's challenging. The best vitality item is the ring +10. Otherwise get strength equipment for faster kills. Hope it helps!

Under rating threshold (show) It's an ok game from what I've played but there are so many sprites literally /RIPPED/ from Zelda I'm already wary of the game. The fact it uses topdown, fixed camera like Zelda but uses RPG effects makes it difficult to play at times, especially the short invulnerability period after being hit doesn't help when you're backed into a corner early in the first level. I know it shouldn't be hard to control and it's basic fighting but honestly, your first five times you level up, upgrade strength and sword, should make a difference. I upgraded strength every single time along with the sword skill and I rarely see damage done over 2 (the highest I get is a 3). I would suggest making beginning enemies a little squishier or leveling up a little more gratifying. I'm no stranger for grinding to level up but it shouldn't be a grindfest in the very first level. 3/5 so far but score may change later.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is quite boring, so I'd like to share a glitch which can teleport you into the last room and end the game. (My english is not very good:P) 1. you need to have a swim skill. 2. go to (1,7) of the "MAP" (there are 2 yellow crabs in 1,7) 3. go to the (1,10) on the "SCREEN" (There are some glass in the water blocked the path, (1,9)/(2,8)/(2,9)/(3,7)/(3,9) etc...) 4. hold the "W" key, then press "A" to switch the map into (1,6), then press "D" to switch back into (1,7). 5. repeat step4, until you passed though the glass. 6. Then, swim to map(1,2) 7. Press "W" to switch the map into (0,2), once you get there, you'd find that there are two computer on the screen. 8. Talk to the "Purple Man" and end the game.

Under rating threshold (show) That was extremely underwhelming, for a game that takes a few hours to complete. I wish I could say it was that long because of the difficulty, but it really was simply because of the tedium of hitting the same enemies scores of times before defeating just one. Even though I really enjoyed getting used to the mechanics, it quickly died down as my focus was more aimed at avoiding enemies to not have to bother wasting a good minute or two to move a single screen. I finished it, but I'm not satisfied. Show me what the sequel can really do!

Under rating threshold (show) This game is a joke. The entire final island can be bypassed. You don't need to fight anything at all. You can get to the other side of the gate that requires a key and right into the final "dungeon" by walking on the beach a little bit. A goblin gives you a quest and the other side of her teleports you randomly to the guy and you get a game finished screen. Kind of lame. This kind of ending invalidates the entire game.

Under rating threshold (show) It's an okay game, but half the time when it says I'm poisoned I'm not--I know that I'm not because I've used two Antidotes and the status has not changed; I have to wait until I've leveled up or bought something or saved in order for it to return to normal. Quite annoying, and for all the nostalgia it gives me it's still a pretty basic game. 3/5

Under rating threshold (show) UGH! Finally done with this terrible game! The most dificult part of this mess of a game was remembering where quest masters are, imo. Basically every area looked the same, so I got lost a lot near the end with all that invisible island hopping. The ending is totally weird and what is with that random, unfinished cave in the Northern Plains or whatever??? I spent so much time trying to get at the loot I assumed was there, and then once I did I wanted to kill someone. What a tease -_- Oh and I got really effing tired of finding people's lost relatives! Natural selection would say that a grandmother who risked her life to go butterfly hunting in a wood full of horrible monsters deerves to die. Just sayin' >:( This game must've taken a long time to make, and was pretty detailed, but was too frustrating or me to actually mean any of the nice things I cld say about it.

Under rating threshold (show) Well, I feel like I'm playing the original Zelda game, except watered down and with a whole lot more grinding put in. The whole thing in general just feels lazily designed. The assets ripped from rpgmaker are fine, that's what they're made for, and they accomplish what they need to. But the only word I can use to describe the rest of the game is drab. There's only one attack regardless of your weapon choice, the writing is extremely stilted and boring, level design is weak("This place is amazing!"), and enemies are lifeless. Even the xp and equipment system that the grindquest is built on gives you no sense of progression, with leveling giving you nigh unnoticeable benefits and weapons jumping from using 7 hits to kill an enemy to 2, then becoming underpowered immediately after encountering a new enemy. I'm going to be optimistic and agree that with some tweaking, this could be a decent game, but as it stands, it's barely more than a prototype.

Under rating threshold (show) At first thought I found a nice Zelda clone here. At the end Im rather disgruntled about you put little effort in balanced innovative gameplay. Under rating threshold (show) This game does have a lot more potential, in a possible sequel or something. Even though many Flash RPGs are the same, this game has a large amount of sidequests, where almost all of which are just plain grinding marathons. It can get pretty annoying when you're early enough in the game that you can't one-shot enemies. There's also a few problems, as mentioned above with the ring that increases bow damage when you cannot equip it for its effect. Again, this game has (or had) great potential, but it needs a bit of polishing up. 3.5/5 from me as a personal rating.

Under rating threshold (show) First of all, fun game, I enjoyed playing it. Some points of improvement: 1) Arrows are way too expensive compared to how much gold you get per monster all the way until you reach the sewers. Having to shoot 5 arrows for a 7 gold reward means I'm actually losing 8g/monster. 2) Please, PLEASE give people the option to buy stacks of arrows, having to click 1000-2000 times every time I visit the shop is very tedious. 3) By the time monsters give enough money to consider buying the more expensive arrows, the increase in damage per arrow (which does not significantly scale with dexterity) is minimal, resulting in a ~3% increase in damage for a 400% increase in arrow cost. 4) As mentioned by submax, no option to use an accessory when using a bow. My advice is to either remove arrows all together or change them to function as an indispensable accessory. Additionally adding more variety in ranged weapons (eg. a crossbow) would be very welcome!

Under rating threshold (show) This could be a really great game! But it's like the developer didn't polish it. These are some of the issues I found in 1 play through: -The opening story has a giant run on sentence. It makes the developers look ignorant. -Occasionally, the character will take damage from the bandit archers when no arrows are even close to him -Northern Plains save point cave has mushrooms that can't be chopped. -Gold Slayer description typo -After using a poison cure, the info label still says "Poisoned!" -Taranchula on the south side of the SouthWest Island spawns on a cactus and can't move -Blatantly plagiarizing Nintendo creatures isn't cool. -The lack of invincibility after being hit, as mentioned by many others -Top transition on the south side of the SouthEast island doesn't line up allowing me to skip "Near The End" quest if I wanted. So much of the game is well done. Why skip over these small polishing issues? These small issues build up into a pretty big list of problems! For now, 3/5.
