...Yeah no. Its made WAY too hard by archers not firing at flying things. And the difficulty ramps up stupidly after the first few levels. like 20+ infantry and 10+ flying things when ive only got a handful of units...no. Fix the game.

@Darkruler2005: It's even worse, because you NEED to get those perfects on certain levels, or else you can't upgrade, again, because of diminishing returns. I passed level 3 the first time, but got a low score, so missed out on most of the 50 crystal bonus. Same for Tiris. Now I'm halfway through the game stuck trying levels I can't complete for lack of upgrades, and no way to farm for resources to upgrade with. And if I try to farm levels to try to accumlate from per turn rates, the enemy periodically just steals what little resources I collect at the end of a turn anyway.

The diminishing returns on rewards when replaying levels, combined with the enemies ability to completely empty you of any one resource at the end of a turn might be a deal breaker. If you don't do well early on, it's terribly difficult to recover. Right now I don't have enough crystal to upgrade anything, I've farmed crystal levels to the point that they barely give me any, and the enemy can instantly take it all away if the RNG isn't kind. I feel like the game was balanced expecting a certain level of upgrades and abilities by a certain point, and if you don't have them, the only option appears to be to start over.

Thanks for the update on the walkthrough, but I think I speak for most of us when I say we're trying to get a perfect score. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't any action points, then I would just restart after winning. But now I'm pressured to survive another attack. Don't get me wrong, I like the unique system, but this makes the insane difficulty factor to perfectly finish levels at level 3 a pain. But as I see it, the problem isn't so much that my troops aren't doing enough damage. It's that if you have 20 soldiers and 2 enemies, 1 enemy will get through due to the fact that all 20 of them immediately jump on the other and completely forget about the second. Perhaps update their AI to first try and attack targets that are still moving, and then move to attack targets that are already being attacked. This will prevent those imbalanced runners from getting through even though you could easily handle them.

Other frustrating things. The camera gets yanked out of your hands every time you restart to scroll the map for a few seconds. Seems nothing but gets so frustrating when you're restarting for the 30th time. Also when you've two towers with two soldiers and two enemy coming through, they'll both jump the first one and let the second one through.

Really annoying that your archers keep attacking the one melee guy that doesnt take any dmg while they should take down the air units.

I've tried both of your level 3 walkthroughs about 5 times each with different build orders + upgrade orders with no success. The problem is that regardless of placing towers apart from each other, several of my towers attack the same unit rather than different units allowing them to pass easily. With both walkthroughs I managed to have the exact same towers + placement as shown in your pictures and demons still get through so please explain to me how this works.

Seems a nice game but the difficulty curve is all over the place. Level 3 is a kick to the teeth unless you place towers in a very specific way, then you get a string of easy levels.
Much of the frustration seems to stem from the archer towers not targetting what they really should. They routinely ignore flyers and runners to pour arrows into high armour targets the ground units tie up. Not to mention they won't target the closest unit to the base which is a standard of tower defense and for a good reason.
hi vaccine, check my second walkthrough for level 3 : http://www.menaragames.com/misc/drwalkthrough/dorwick just put many soldiers, also can solve the stage, no need to be too specific. With knight or Tor this is just a demon-killing-field.

*soldier* SIR! that demon is nearing our castle, luckily, his his healthy is only 5%, should i go kill it? *commander* No, i dont want you to run so far away, only fight within 10 feet of your post. * soldier* but sir, i could just g- *Commander* THATS AN ORDER SOLDIER!

Fun game so far, making me really wish I didn't have to work tonight lol! I like the upgrade idea. It's always been one thing to make a tower more powerful, but to create sort of "extra towers" in the same square? That's new. Good work!

Tried your level 3 walkthrough about 10 times each with a different build/upgrade order. Wave 10 or so just completely overruns my defences. I don't have enough archers or soldiers to stop them.

I also don't think the resources you get from towns are very helpful. People are complaining about having to grind intensely just to progress. There's so much to buy and build, we need the resources to do so.

Wosh, quite hard for sure. A good game, but just finish the game deserve you a hard badge here. Great job and great game anyway.

The combo of Tower Defense game and strategy development makes this game an all time classic ! + for achievements and don't forget to rate !!!

I do like my TD games to have a good story and campaign mode. Probably why I never play Bloons or Desktop. Thanks for making it interesting in addition to being strategy defense.
Third map is actually not that hard, heres a walkthrough if you're curios how to solve it:

I find it pretty hard and I am an experienced TD player. But maybe I have to replay the first maps and grind more resources than I intended.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good, but a bit too hard early on. Reduce the number of Runners per wave, those guys are just too hard to stop early game.

What's with the third map? It's like 8 milion dudes spawn and just kill me >.> ... What a waste I really enjoyed the first two levels.

The game is a little unbalanced and the targeting system is awkward, my archers will go for the enemy in the back of the line when they're right next to my base. Not a bad game, 4/5. Just tone it up a bit and it'd be a 5/5 for sure.

It's incredibly irritating seeing a wave of monsters you can't help to match at certain points. While defending Tiris, the second crystal map, I have to rely on my Swordsman to hold back the large amount of land enemies, as Archers aren't nearly enough, while Ochre Osiris just fly over because my Archers aren't able to kill 8 of them fast enough. Unless there's more strategy involved and I'm not aware of some form of combo, it feels incredibly imbalanced. I don't want to grind a level 10 times to get the resources needed to beat the following map.
Heya, there is definitely lots of strategy involved for the later map. And no, you don't need to grind 10 times to win Tiris, if you care for a walkthrough you can find it here (WARNING:CONTAINS SPOILER) :
http://www.menaragames.com/misc/drwalkthrough/tiris
And this is not the only strategy for tiris, there are just so many combination and placement possibilities for each map.

Epic soundtrack, traditional TD with a turn based twist. Character classes based on medieval roots and level up. Classic graphics 5/5.
