here is what each rune does...
Lighining-gives the unit a chance to stun enemies
Flame-Gives the unit a chance burn enemies
Poison-gives the unit a chance to poison enemies
Ice-Gives the unit a chance to freeze enemies
Dark-gives the unit the ability to heal itself based on the amount of damage it does to enemies it attacks

For The Items That Are Runes They Only Change The Attacks The Units Change Are These Elderly Wizard,Succubus And Witch These Are The Only Units Change Attacks While They Carry The Runes The Thunder Rune Changes Their Attacks Into Thunder Bolts Then The Fire Rune Changes Their Attacks Into Succubus's Attack Then The Poison Rune Changes Into Witch's Attack Then The Ice Rune Changes Into Icy Bolts Then The Dark Rune Changes Into Elderly Wizard's Attack.

what do u do with the extra xp? why cant u give them to other units in need of xp? u should be able to donate xp from one unti to the other.

very good game, but in trials stages, or even extra stages the hero cudnt survive anything, not even an enemy mage (he got killed by one hit when i wasnt watching), so usually i d always have to put him at the back or behind all the others, also for the Death and many other epic monsters, they shud have better upgrades like lots of other ppl said... Also epic war 5 shud be the same as epic war 3 on IPhone where even the hero dies, the battle continues and after an amount of time, the hero revives... I mean, he alrdy cheated death, but how come hes so weak and all...

I suggest a epic upgrade that becomes available to the unit after all other upgrades have been obtained. This way all the extra accumulated exp. is used for some purpose as it would be a fairly expensive upgrade and it would make the game a little more balanced towards the player instead of the opponents having all the awesome units.

spells seem to have a level....mostly level one.
how about you make the spells upgradable? level them up? each level up will cost more points.
that way you also kinda take care of the overdo of skillpoints, if you know what i mean.

this game is amazing but would be even better if epic war 6 involved multiplayer and the ability to to create your own hero at game start with several classes to choose keep it in mind will ya

As many others have said, a lot can be changed. But if you dare make my units do what they did in the last game, I'll slit your throat in your sleep. I love that they no longer charge randomly when I'm off doing something else, only to discover I'm missing guys.

I like it when you completely beat a game and you come back later and lo and behold, it got badges and you get all of them right off the bat. Yeah. Its an awesome feeling. Being awarded for just showing up.

After beating it, I realized that the difficulty is so lenient that it is practically an idle game. Idling, with little concern for what units I used, I won the first and second sets of levels in one try, sometimes two. Otherwise, the only thing I do is buff sometimes and kill an impeding group of ranged units with a spell. The previous game had me retreating units, withholding units in preparation of an attack, experimenting with different army and spell combinations, timing my spells and USING my heroes carefully. Although, abusing invincibility to beat most end levels was a little lame, it still required my attention and was a bit tense in using it (and other spells) properly. In this game, it was an epic anticlimax when I beat the last level on my first try by rushing all my units and keeping them buffed constantly.

The heroes are useless even with heal spells, they should have more hp or revive like the other units. Also a castle to defend would be better than a useless hero. Sorry but the Epic War 2,3 and 4 was way better than the new one.

I beat EW5 (with all extra and trials) and must say I am very disappoited. Nice concept and graphics but gameplay deserves 1/5. Some stages are vey easy (f.e. last Trial) and some very difficult. Some spells are overpowered (regen wtf), heroes are pointless (they die really, really fast) and you can beat almost every stage with White Tiger + Omega Seal + Regen. My rating - 2/5 (1 for graphics)

Easy way to take on the LORDS of Hell: Keep your hero unit back at all time. Break through the first wall and get to the large hellish one. Use any spell to attack the first Lord in line, making him come at you. After you kill him, repeat until you have defeated all of them. As for units, I recommend using the large ones on page 3 such as: Golem, White Tiger, Death, Black Dragon. Perhaps archers as well as a melee unit.

because in the later period,when you have all of heroes,their regeneration speed is very slow.

what really annoys me is that when I just want to send a few creatures, they all go, and all the newly spawn go to. I'd like the possibility to send a few archers for example, and keep some other back in the base.

I don't know why there are so many complaints about this game. Personally I think it is a 5 / 5. True it may not be as good as version 2 but then neither are any others. Even so, still a great game. Dunno what ya'll whining on like bitches for so much, you haven't had to pay for none of this and it's a challenging game on the later levels.

I started out on games like Castlevania - Symphony of the night and super mario when growing up - both games that were bad on graphics - however good in replay value, so I do not care too care much about graphics.
What I like about epic war is the big variety of units and the nice cartoon like artwork. I've always been a fan of cartoon like games.
I like sending in a wave of bombers to destroy a wave of succubus, I love sending in my vampires to steal their souls, and I LOVE sending in my White Tiger to tear them limb from limb. I do admit that the dwarf level for example, the graphics are kind of messed up, however that does not completely ruin the play value since the game doesn't lag or bug up because of it.
One thing I don't like is that the hero dies so easy. He should at least survive a few hits from the bosses. This can be bad when I click the forward all button and forget to recall my hero.
Nice game, just a improvements that could be made. Those are minor though. 5/5.

Hero's damage=crap. Health=crap. Really? The hero vag sucks, he dies in 10seconds, Not kidding. And his dmg is crap to -.- Please, Make hero's stronger, + if you agree
