As others have said, your units max out relatively quickly and after they're maxxed out all the xp they obtain is rendered useless. This problem is highlighted with your hero unit. Im just about halfway through the trials and my hero unit has ~ 4k of unusable xp. By any chance could we have this excess xp go towards upgrading other units or at least serve a function?

We need better upgrades for the "epic" units, for example the 6000 hp golem gets an upgrade for 50 hp... completely pointless. Also the Hero needs at least 5x more HP to be able to deal with Trials

I've only played as Viegraf so far but in the later stages, having him fight is a liability since he can get killed really quickly at times. He was really strong for the early levels but I think the heroes need to scale better throughout the game because it's too risky having him fight so he's more or less deadweight.

Late game the heroes are basically useless on the front line, even the mighty skull warrior boasting incredible defense and offence early game. It's been to not even move them at all once you begin the extra stages, and only use them for their spells.

Trial 4: All titans. The best way to beat him is to build walls with the cursor over his right knee (the one on the left on screen). It will push him back a little every time. Trial 5: Black dragon, goblins/little hobbit, elf hunter, succubus, witch, and elder wizard (any ranged units will do, but these ones worked pretty well for me). Spam lvl2 meteor if you have it. Don't forget to plus both of these so everybody can see!

I don't know if this is true or not, but I think that the spells don't stack. I shielded my units and the attack from the king of hell only did 1500 ish then I raged them not a second after wards and it attacked again and did 3000 ish. There's no way that the shield ran out in one second. Unless the rage canceled out the shield. Anything to say dev? I think this should be changed if it's true. You should be able to stack spells(at least that's my opinion).

Giga heal 32mp = 750hp heal on white wolf okay decent BUT... Regen 25mp = 300hp each second for about 20 seconds. There needs to be better scaling for a spell like Giga heal. Also it would be nice to have a spell duration timer so we know how much time is left before a buff wears off just like EW4. Vote this up so developer can see =)

Its just time consuming all u have to do is wait there barley any fun in it and bosses have so much health and ur hero is useless after the normal levels.....

Need more amounts of units, for example, the hell raiders,a great unit, but can only have 5 at a time, so they're useless for the trials/extras. need 2+ of each epic unit when fully upgraded. Would be nice. Also if more epic wars are made, keeps hell raiders :D Also keep the accessories, I think everybody liked that.

How about general upgrades? Eg unit speed, regen time upgraded. Definitely need better heroes, after a few battles you have to keep him back and can't use him in battle, he/she dies right away.

Trial 1: succubus, elderly wizard, witch, little hobbit, goblin, and black dragon. You will want to have all of them fully upgraded. The goblins and hobbits will prevent colossus from moving most of the time, so just move your ranged units occasionally so they don't get too close. Trial 2: Black dragon, death, white tiger, goblin, centaurion, and witch. Goblins will prevent the iron fortress from moving and the ranged units will make sure they get close enough to stop it. THIS IS A VERY LONG FIGHT AND MAY TAKE MORE THAN ONE ATTEMPT. Trial 3: Golem, Black dragon, white tiger, death, goblins/hobbit as usual, and any other titan if you have one (if you don't anything will do). No strategy other than build up then just let them constantly attack and spam lvl2 meteor on the enemy golems.

Also could really use a magic hub, I really dont want to click on a certain portrait to cast a spell, and click it again to recast it a few seconds later.

The hero really becomes a burden once you get to the later levels, having him retreat is the best thing to do. I think that the classic system where the enemy had to destroy your castle in order to win, is better than this one.

Colossus hints: Don't use your strongest guys vs it, you will lose quickly. The key to beating it is spamming fast, cheap units, hobbits & goblins, and then have your ranged units tick away at it.
Keep this bumped so people stop asking this damn question without searching through the older messages.

when you upgrade your units the upgrade goes straight to "MAX" maybe you could put add levels of upgrade onto them other than just the 9 for every unit. perhaps each spell could be upgraded rather than just getting them activated.

The actual position of the Hero simply sucks, he does not do anything especialy on advanced stages: low HP, low attack, slow and stupid, in addition if he dies all your game goes to trash. No comparison to EW3 where you could stop 3 angry titans for 5 minutes ¡¡¡just with the hero!!!
Also is there no further use to the unused xp, at least more upgrades to titans please

I'd like to drag n drop my units in the formation screen. Also directly change a unit in the accessory and skills screen instead of closing and reopening with another unit.

Great, getting to the end of another trial mission, scraping through by the skin of my teeth to the very end, happily beating the boss, and somehow I've managed to click one and forwards or something similar as my hero has just ran up to the ultra-boss and instantly died, losing the mission that I've just spent the last hour and a bit painstakingly going through and coming within a millimeter of a health bar of winning. There needs to be an option to plant the hero to the damned ground so that he stays there NO MATTER WHAT

Most important thing with spells: There can only be one active buff. Do not cast regenerate and then rage, because regenerate will be cancelled, maybe killing your units. This was much better in previous EW series where you could cast multiple buffs. Please let us cast heal and rage together.

I'd like to be able to equip more than one item : a sword, a shield, an armor. This 5th episode seems like a regression to me.

After getting hooked on Epic War 4 recently, then finding this game, it's a bit of a dissapointment from there. The upgrade system is much more annoying to navigate, and unit selection too. At very least, scrolling over the units should show their base info in the Formation tab.

Would love to see a skill tree for the hero, I mean I like the one that there is but I am 2/3 through the game and have over 10000 exp just sitting there... Maybe make each of the hero's skills have more than one tier?

Ok... I'm going to say it, and hate myself for it: I don't think this is as good as some of the previous Epic War. Have been playing for 30 mins, and I love this series, so I assumed I'd be swept up in it's sheer existence like everyone else. However, the graphics I don't believe are as nice, the way the story presents itself is bland, with a distinct lack of animation and poor script writing, and the interface for team arrangement has gone backwards. Why have they removed the "click and drag" method? The maps don't seem nearly as Epic as the previous games either. Over time, they've been getting smaller.
I know this review will get panned, but this feels rushed. I'm not saying it's not a good game, it just doesn't feel finished, or as clean as it could. I'm sure I'll still enjoy it, but I feel slightly jaded, experiencing a good game, when should have been experiencing a superb game. Epic War helped create and mould a new genre. I hope it continues to do so...
Thanks for your feedback. Actually your opinion regarding graphics is a bit subjective , because some tester said it is the best art yet i may know some still miss the old graphics ( ew1,2) . For drag control, actually we made it this way so if we porting to mobile device, it can port easily and mobile friendly. Once again, thanks for the feedback

Nice games but there are some changes made that have hurt instead of helped the series. Since there's no base for the enemies to destroy, of course now they have to destroy my hero. So why would I ever use my hero? For later levels, I use him for half the stage, then send him home and don't touch him ever again. Also because of this new system, there's no point in the back and forth strategy of earlier games. It's all just offense all of the time. I can't really use meat shields to hold the enemy back while I make my retreat. There's no second (or third or fourth) wave of enemies coming out either. The strategy established in 3 and improved on in 4 is gone. Now it's just spam units all the time and sit back. Units not strong enough? Level them up. Get boss units. Everything is just... slimmed down. This should be called Epic War Lite, not necessarily Epic War 5.

some tips for trials: Trial 1 - use goblins and 5 ranged units. Goblins keep Colossus from moving much by taking a beating whilst ranged units hammer him from afar. Use rage & heal spell. Trial 2 - same as trial 1, make sure you have gorillas and elderly wizard as they deal a lot of damage and push oppents back respectively. take it a bit at a time using the ranged units to batter everything in their way from a distance. Trial's 3, 4 & 5 - these are all basically the same, you need vampire in your team for their regeneration spell and any and all titan units you have (make sure you have maxed them out by grinding a level - level 10 is an easy one once you have the units). Put the omega seal on the snow tiger (then put it on the iron fortress when you unlock it). attack when you have 100 mana and just keep using the regeneration spell (which lasts about 10 seconds). This will get you through all the trials first time. hope it helps!

Failproof strategy for beating every trial with some basic units and without having to level up multiple teams: 1. pick Queen Etheria 2. Beat the regular stages. 3. Beat level 9 over and over until you unlock White Tiger. Use the following team: Elf Hunter, Centaurion, Goblin, Vampire, Dwarf Engineer, Hell Raider. Put it on 3x speed, charge all, leave your hero on the back and let it win automatically. Should take less than 1 minute per run, and you can just do something else after you set it up. 5. Use the above team and replace Vampire with Tiger. Equip Platinum Sword on everyone, Omega Seal on Tiger, Poison Rune on Centaurion. 6. On trial stages put it on 3x speed, fill your mana up, charge all except hero. You should try to either keep Tiger alive with your Regen (hero) or use Wall (Hell Raider) to keep the boss from advancing, or do both if needed. On trial 3 use Ice Blast (hero) to lure one boss a time. Should be able to beat everything on your first try if done correctly.

i have compeleted all the trail stages and the full game also and i have saw so many problems in this game such as,when centaurion throws the spear some units who"s hiet is small they do not hurt the spear becouse the spear goes from up of thier head and this problem is whith gorilla and sometimes with elf hunter also and why the lord of hells maximum health is somthing 25000 and hero unit,s health is only 3000 and why you are not showing artologic's bagde's asome skills but i think so that artologic's bagd's asome skill is +80% more defeance and other probles are comented down only
