As usual it is a laggy freeze up nightmare just like the other games in this series. Why the heck do these have badges?

Wow, so many things to hate about this genre of game. First, it's as unlike playing music as you can get because of latency issues. Second, it trivializes music into a couple of basic key presses that have no correlation to music, (chords 1,2,3,4 instead of relative voicing like 1,4,5) exacerbated by the more or less arbitrary decision by the coder as to what notes and beats are important. Third, the music is always designed to appeal to 14 year olds, but the gaming populace in general is actually older than that, and fourth, it is destined to be bearable at best to anyone who doesn't usually listen to thrash metal. For the first time in a long time I'm taking a pass on the first BOTD of the week.

People are really hatin on this game, huh? I mean the graphics are definitely showing their age but it mostly seems like people are mad they can't figure out how to play it. Or they just hate rhythm games in general, which is fine but yeesh.

Don't know why this is a BOTD game. Pretty low grade with no difficulty scaling. Goes from doable to impossible. 1 star game. Looks like I'm not the only one.

The sort of game I wish I could give negative stars to; I already rated it 1 star last time it was BotD, so every time I'm forced to come back to it I want to rate it down even more. I get that with a music themed kongpanion it would make sense for this game to show up, but couldn't it be BotD for later in the week, like Saturday or Sunday when it is entirely optional? It is discouraging for the first BotD of the week to be something that no one likes.

After trying Chaos Within, I've come to the realization I should just be satisfied with my one award point and no badge and simply move along to hope for a more playable game somewhere else in the week. I imagine this must've been good when it was first released, but having to spam the down key to even have a chance of catching the sudden uptick in the lowermost bar is borderline absurd. Agreeing with statements regarding taking it off BOTD rotation, it's become rather dated.

I remember this game actually being good and fun, but time has not been kind to it. Mostly because future Flash updates completely messed with the timing, so getting excellent scores is really hard. Somebody needs to move the SCGMD series to HTML5 or something.

The first song is considerably longer AND is also harder than the second. Easy badge would be better if there were 3 "simple" level songs, even if I didn't need more than the two.
Controls feel awkward at times, but at least seem responsive. I like rhythm games, but I doubt I'll be revisiting this one.

I can recall the last time the easy badge in this game was a BoTD; I had great difficulty with trying to attain 3 award points.

Bah, I'll just give up on this badge. It isn't worth spending several hours learning how to write AHK scripts then manually recording each song and writing a script for it just for this terrible game.

this type game is not very conducive to this kind of platform. I've tried playing all these guitar hero type games and just fail so badly. as it is, I'm not good at these type games. on top of that there always seems to be some kind of delay too. def not getting this badge.

Ok so first off if the voice annoys you, right before you start playing the song you pick there is an option to disable the voice, you should do that, it will help. Second, all you need is a gold in 1 song, or a silver+bronze on the easiest 2 which should be doable but you need to practice a few times. Worry more on learning patterns than doing it right on the first go. Get the hands used to moving in certain patterns for the songs. The way the score works, its better to Get the longest chain without missing for as long as possible but it also works that if you will miss a note, just let the note go by and dont try to hit it. You will get a mistake for missing, and another for pressing the wrong key so its better to let some notes go.

for some of us even the EASY BADGE IS IMPOSSIBLE....ho hum to be dexterous with excellent hand eye coordination is a gift for us but normal for some...you guys who made these types of games should make a youtube of everyone involved in the game getting t he badges, so you can be a laughing stock instead of us.

just have to ask who decided that a badge for this was easy? the description even says that this is harder then the previous game, only reason I tried it given my poor hand eye coordination is because someone put it for the badge of the day again.

you're pressin keys, your fingers are cold and are starting to ache. you've restarted this song, what, four times and you feel a mistake coming up any time soon. your eye begins to twitch, how long has the song got left? hold key, press press press. you look up- only a quarter through the song. you don't know how much longer you can keep going.

I should admit it is quite hard to find a good game that has been awarded an impossible badge on this website. This game's songs are too long and they are not properly synchronized with the notes on the screen. At least it is a thousand times better than DJManiax.

Cons of having a slow, laggy computer: This game is infinitely harder
Pro: I know the tempo of every single one of these songs by heart and no longer need to rely on my eyes.

This game absolutely ROCKS, with awesome and really fun songs to listen to and play, especially the Punk Rock ones. Every fan of Rock,Metal and similar genre's of music should try it out, despite the age of this game it's the best Guitar Game I have played.
