game would be alot better with a sell option and fast forward button as it can be a bit slow but other than that i think its a really good game.

dude, every time you kill a guy, the screen freezes for like 2 seconds. It goes sooooo slow.. (+) if that happens to anyone else.

If you love tower defense games .... don't even bother with this one ... it takes several hours to beat a map and even though your strategy is amazing, you will get really irritated.

What is the reason of the names? Maybe if there was a group of 4 people on a mission then there is a reason for the names but when you can have up to 25 or more wizards and etc., the names become pretty much insignificant.

for those saying its long, you can play another game while the wave is on and when you hear the noise of the monsters stop, go back to the game.

for the medium 20 just build lvl1 fire guys until the map is full (without paving), then upgrade all together. Same for medium 15. Put your skill points in fire and the game beats itself.

monsters are boring, game to slow, setting is boring, interface isn't user friendly. the game is good, but you could have made so much more with it!

I hate this game. I just want the medium badge for best of 08, and can't beat the 5th level, either the easy 40 wave, or medium 20. I've got 4 skill pts. to distribute... Help!

I need the medium badge for thebest of 2008 badge thing god damn it (i also do not find it slow at all but the maps are extremly lenghty and take a long time to complete due to amounof waves and mosneters (sad face)).

This is probably the most obtuse and frustrating of all the tower defense-style games on Kongregate. Ugly, super-slow, and overly punishing for even the smallest mistake. For example- when the creator of the game has an entire help entry devoted to explaining why he won't let you sell units, and impugning your game playing ability in a really condescending way for even asking, you know that the game you are trying to play has some messed-up priorities. So yeah, screw this game.

Probably the best defense game i have played, but not a big fan off it, i get bored like halfway through the marathons lol. but maybe that is just me :)

easiest medium badge ever :D. earned it on the Village of Shaven easy map. put 4 fire dude-things on the front 4 spaces....level all 3 times. have the skill to reduce the cost of upgraded units by 50 gp. have the necro or whichever you start with unlocked. then wait till you get 250 GP then place it in either *necro*: first place on corner (it's ranged so will reach door) or middle of the bottom of the square. then place the second *necro* opposite side first spot or *paladin* left of the middle one you placed (or right doesn't matter) may want to place fire mage-things near exit if needed/wanted. you will lose some lives on bats...especially if laggy.

This game works perfectly on my new MacBook Pro, probably because of the processor speed required. To lower the amount of processor speed you need to run the game smoothly, you can set the quality to "low" or "medium." Hope this helps!

whoops- it turns out that u need to hire those units in the same game. just pick a level that you can save up 600 gold in (and still win).

getting the second med. badge: first, complete the first two levels (preferably the tutorial and 15-wave one), then by the two necromancer upgrades (second ones on the top right). go to the first level, buy three fire mages, and put them in the three spots closest to the entrance. as soon as possible, randomly upgrade each one once, then save up money. toward the end, you should have enough for a necromancer- buy one and win. repeat the level, using the same strategy. then, in skills, reset skill points and buy the two paladin upgrades (last ones on the top right), then do the exact same thing you did with the necromancers. afterwards, just buy five energy mages on the first level, and you won the badge!

Haha: "You won.... Did you expect fireworks?" After 33 tries on the map I'd like SOMETHING more then a cheeky comment...
