To anyone struggling with Mission 9 (any difficulty) check out this post. I took tips from most of these strategies and compiled that new knowledge together to come up with a strategy similar to this video's first turn (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoVioSLfLGA), just keeping the plane alive and one of the commandos in the boat for exxtra fodder later. I only captured the refineries by the sea statue, the land statue, and the on closest to the southern-most warfactory and stalled with battlecruisers, picking enemies off from a distance. Once rond 15 hits, the enemy's production grinds down to almost non-existant. Keep picking off enemies and use subs to block off the two sea entrances. Good luck! This was on Medium btw, Idk if the same strat works on hard.

For anyone trying to do level 9 on hard mode: I managed to win by only making battlecruisers and submarines. Use your infantry to capture as many structures as possible, while covering with your other units. Only build battlecruisers at first. All you land troops will eventually die, but it does not matter. Once the AI starts build a lot of boats, start making some submarines to defend your battlecruisers. Once you have the enemy under control, start moving up the map.

In the higher levels the game starts to lag a little and the computer needs to speed up so it takes the computers turn to catch up because there is too many troops.

so its been a while since I played last but how do you resume the game after you save an quit I have tried several times but been unable to resume my game I always have to restart back to the beginning of the mission. you guys know solution?

I was really enjoying this game up until it stopped working during the final battle in campaign mode. Miraculously I'm back at the very beginning. Nearly broke my laptop out of frustration.

Over all cool game 4/5. There are some problem that I found. The AI's take to long to make thier move :(. NEEDS MORE BAGDES the ones they already have are way to easy. Rate this up if you want more bagdes.

did the author fix the ai wait time? for lvl 9? Cause lvl 8 took longer and for me wait time for lvl 9 was almost instant :P

I remember playing this game (on MoFunZone) in 2008 which was the time before I registered on Kongregate. But at that time, I couldn't beat the first campaign chapter because I didn't know how to attack (but only counter-attacking). Damn it!

wow. after a while the computer sort of gives up. I mean it doesn't stop attacking, but it stops producing units when it has several war factories with several thousand dollars. it could have destroyed me if it had tried.

have any one tryed to beat level 9 on hard? it is IMPOSSIBLE. if anyone is looking for a real challenge, level nine wont disappoint

Might I suggest you spend more time on AI, everything is too easy, even the bonus map, largely because the CPU doesn't know enough to hold in reserves. Also, he has a nasty tendency to split his forces in half even if your 'second group' is one wounded little dude who is fleeing. lol 2 Annihilators vs 1 half-health infantry, overkill much? The only difficulty is 'enforced' difficulty, IE the cheapass programmer intentionally giving the CPU double or more forces. The bonus map is especially easy btw if you prevent the middle two oil refineries from being owned by either player. (in fact taking them will cost you too many little dudes, better instead to let him keep dashing towards them, your turrets will dispose of anyone that tries to take them.) Do the same for the above fields, build 3 guys, send them by albatross to the little island, only unpack on the one towards your side until the corvettes are taken care of. Make your first unit a rocket and plant it between the two turrets.

on normal setting the a.i. just gives up if you dig in.
It just stops producing its military :/
makes for lamish gameplay. I also dislike not being able to see my enemy even when it attacks me (although i do see the need for this in the storyline).

This game definitely needs a "undo" move. There's many times I accidentally ordered to unit to do something it shouldn't be doing

Three things that would improve this game for me: Being able to use WASD to pan my map view. An undo button for those unfortunate misclicks. And of course, quicker AI calculations.

This game is pretty much advance wars/battalion wars. But since AW is one of my favorite series, i rejoice to see a version online. my compliments to the designer. And the graphics and gameplay (apart from the delay) are spot on!
