Hi guys! There is no game on Earth that can compete with Canabalt. It's simply the greatest. And I didn't even tried to. Canabalt established a new genre and I just wanted to make a new game in that genre. I've added to this concept a lot of stuff (shooting, double jump, grappling hook, shield, slowing down, speeding up, achievements) and was concentrated on making a game with more fun than tense. Canabalt has completely different feel. And I love it. And I just hope that players who likes runner games will enjoy Ninja Run as well. Cheers!

This game is GREAT! My only suggestion is that to avoid repetitiveness you should make it so that the background scenery changes as you advance further and further.

I have to agree with some other comments, although Canabalt was a fun game, and Graphicly amazing, it did not start the genre of run and jump 2d surviving platformer, nor did dino run, but dino run is in that catagory the feel and the style is different but not the genre. also, dont sell yourself out, you sound like a pansy who doesnt want to be criticized, and that's not how it works.

If the background were to be as good looking as in canabalt then I would have given 5 points. In canabalt the background really made me feel like i was on post apocalyptic scene trying to escape for my life. It would nice if the background would have those typical japanese trees with purple leaves (or are they flowers?) or mountains :P Think about it ;p

No, No it didnt, sorry man but that is a little TOO big a claim, if you want to do this professionally I would suggest you tone it down quite a bit.

I like this more than Dino Run even though (or maybe because?) it's simple. Also everyone who asks for ratings should die of terminal herpes

I dont like the fact that its repetetive, overall its a fun game. Another good addon could be someting like upgrading your ninja as you keep playing. 4/5

Way better, and more fun then canabalt, which wasn't even that fun in the first place (Don't rate down this comment just because I said that, it's only an opinion), but to further the level of fun, you could add Upgrades, Various Enemies, Bosses (You would still be running but the boss would stay at the edge of the screen until you killed it), Money, Shops (Maybe able to purchase items or different backgrounds/terrain types), Badges, Kong API Highscore, Beastiary (if you make various kinds of enemies), Unlockables, Levels/Experience, and maybe even a Multiplayer Mode. These are some features that keep players rating 5/5 and supporting your game. Do this on the next Ninja Run, and I assure you, you will get the Weekly, if not, Monthly prize. And you definitely deserve it for making such a wonderful game.

4/5, very fun but like everyone else said it does get a bit too easy. I don't mind the repetitiveness, because you can always try to top your own score. I've never been a fan of exclusive achievements and all that, but whatever. Also, why does there always have to be a sequel?? It's great as it is.

this game was rather fun up intill about a thousand feet when you relize the games not geting harder. would be much more enjoyable if it encreased in diffuclty the ferther you went

I didnt even like canabalt. It was extremely boring and repetitive. This one removed the boringness by adding speed up and slow down abilities, grappling, enemies, double jump, and achievements. Its a whole heck of a lot funner than canabalt ill tell you that much. 4/5

Tip dont use to meny double jump , accelerate your speed short before jump so you have more time to focus, you can slow in air before landing best tatcic when you fall to short platform, dont run whole time like F1 car...GL

Maybe it's just me, but I find it hilarious that one of the highest rated comments is by a level 3 named ishooturmom.

The only aspect of this game that is better than Canabalt is the fact that you can shoot. The music is bad. Also I don't like that you are invincible when you run fast. Way to easy 3.5/5

Maybe I'm a newb but the grapple seems to mess me up a lot, not sure how to make it shorter or longer really and so it often gets too long and I faceplant into a wall. Other than that, a simple but enjoyable game. 4/5

My one complaint. If you are moving too fast the grapple becomes very long, often times long enough to let you fall off the bottom of the screen. Either You shouldn't allow the grapple to be that long or you should allow the player to survive being under the screen if they are grappling. Aside from that it was a great game. I think AdamAtomic would be proud of this spin off of his game.

That game has something... Something to make it so highly addictive! Seriously, it's not hard, it doesnt have much to see... You just want to keep jumping! Awesome in a can 5/5

It's nice that you not only acknowledge your inspiration, but provide a link to it as well. The game comes off with a different feel than Canabalt. In Canabalt, the tension comes from your one act: jump, whereas this game has more ways to approach problems. Comparing this with Canabalt is like comparing Sonic to Mario. Same genre, but vastly different approaches.
