I loved Learn to Fly, I loved Toss the Turtle, I loved IntoSpace, but none of them are quite as awesome as this. :) I wish this game had a sequel, but I guess its only one-of-a-kind.
@dawg8916 Welcome to software engineering... If you think that every little piece of a program is its own original masterpiece, you might want to consider thinking again. Recycling components is a necessary part of development, unless you intent to develop a program forever without any result. It would simply take too long to create a different model for every single piece of equipment, so they just changed the texture and theyre done.
@EpsilonSigma You dont even need to go to T3. T2 does the job just as well, just do the last pre-boss levels (Jelly Palace and Ironclaw Munitions) and you will earn more than enough to cover your spendings with profit. T3 takes some time to get into unless you spend quite a bit of real money.
@Kyord: What you didnt consider is crafting the stuff yourself. Then you need only 400 energy (approx. 25k crowns), 2500 crowns and materials, most of which you loot yourself (so no real cost involved). Given that for 100 energy I buy I make approximately 12k crowns, I get the energy refunded and 100 more energy to go on. Its 5, 6 at most, full T2 runs to craft 1 piece of 4 star equipment. Yes, it does take some time, but its time you are supposed to spend having fun, not just hunting for the best gear you can get and "pwn da nubz".
@hidude: I guess thats exactly what Three Rings doesnt want. Im sure they thought of that, but that would only cause in less income for them. The way it is right now, the game is playable by everybody pretty much as much as they like - their evolution is just slower than that of those pay USD. That is all. If you play for fun, its no biggie. I really love the business model of this game.
A disagree just a little bit about not using plasma. On the contrary, I made my 215 mil score (wave 99+, combo 43) by using plasma all the time. Its perfect to snipe off the first one or two eggs, it makes the wave much easier to handle. I dont recommend using the plasma until level about 15 or 20 since it isnt difficult to get, but it definitely isnt infinite. And of course you have to repair the asteroid whenever you can. Plan the use of your invincibility, but dont wait too long - the bonuses disappear if you dont pick them in time.
