Wait, does the title suggest that the puzzles are doable without anybody dying or is that really just a name? The timeline tree suggests somebody has to die, but it would be a cool feature if there was a solution so that no one dies. If there is, I utterly fail at finding it.:D
Wait... Im a man, why the hell did I finish this game and have wet eyes? Incredible impact of the story, it is so true. The music was also awesome, graphics ridiculously elegant in it's simplicity, the story incredibly emotional (I screamed in my mind to let the bird go, not to give it to the lady - I guess I failed there as giving her the bird was the right thing to do :))... Probably the best game I have ever played on Kongregate. The rating should be high, high above 4.
As for the sequel, I agree with the author - while it is sad that this story ended, I don't think it should have a continuation. The story is told, the message given, it's purpose has been served. Just like a dream - it came, it went, and now all there is left is for us to remember it a have it change us a bit inside.
Black Olive Games, all I can say...magnificient. Excellently done. Thank you.
If you make a sequel, please make sure Mr. Zach Holzman does some voicing again. He performed truly professionally, I loved every word he said. It doesn't look like he is a voice acting star or anything, so I hope he gets a lot of exposure. He sure has the talent to become one. Plus, the game was uniquely fun. 5/5 with no hesitation.
The big circles stay there for way too short time to be a relaxing game. There is just no way to plan where you put your initial blast, the ratio between big circle duration and small circle movement speed is just too off imo.
The game is a ton of fun, but there is way too much ads. Especially the Bubblebox add on the main game window. I accidentally clicked it like 10 times, which Im sure is the point, but still - I immediatelly closed the popped tab, it was only a nuisance.
Pleasant enough for me to give it 5/5, but it was a bit too easy I would say. Many differences on the same picture were the same, like missing person in one place and then missing person 50 pixels nearby. I feel like this game didnt use many levels of focus. I mean the situations when you need to refocus your ophthalmic lenses to fully percieve what youre looking at. But a good game anyway, hence my rating.
The game itself is fun, but there are some terribly annoying things. For example I had to restart the game 4 times just because I slightly bumped into a stone, pushing it closer to the wall and unable to move it to the opposite side as a result. Also the jumping seems to be a bit off, making it very difficult to do precise jumps. Its a shame, I had to give the game 4/5 because of these things.
XFallenMasterX: The good thing about SK is that you dont really miss much by being pure F2P player. True, just a few weeks ago you could get all in-game content, now you must purchase the expansion missions if you want items from it, but still, the game is more than playable in the long run. I believe it to be pretty unique in this sense. Lets just hope they will not add more "money money money" missions and items because if they do, they will make SK slide to purely average MMORPG with not much to offer.
@petespal: You do? If I dare to close Kongregate window, the game closes as well. However, I believe the reason this game doesnt have badges is simply because the game is written in Java and doesnt run within Kongregate itself. So 1) its not a Kongregate game, therefore might be incapable of getting badges, 2) Kongregate might not have a Java API, meaning you cannot write a Java program that is truly connected to Kongregate technologies.
@TreePower: The energy prices are determined by usual market offer/demand dynamics. OOO doesnt interfere with the price, it is determined purely by player economics. If there is a lower demand, the price goes lower. If the demand goes up, so does the price.
@andrewjoey12 This game is designed to be cooperative, not competitive. The randomness is there to prevent fighting for items among players. Speaking from experience, the gameplay is far more relaxed in SK than in "normal" MMORPGs, simply because you dont need to worry about being the first to reach the money, heat or items. It is one of the things that make SK unique and fun to play. Also, this randomization is probably the only thing that could be (by some) considered to be unfair in SK. Everything else is exactly the same for all players. Every player fights the same enemies, everyone can have the same gear, loot the same items etc. There can be no imbalance among players.
No, thank YOU for playing.
