here's a few things you could add:
customizable keys- Because not all keyboards have WSAD in the same spots.
better graphic quality- It's hard to even read things in this game.
bigger screen- There's just not enough room to see whats going on, expecially since enemies often fly off screen.
more noticeable arrows for enemies coming from top and bottom of screen- They're just so tiny we really can't even see them.
ability to skip tutorial & intro- Once we see it once we don't want to see it again.
Mutable sounds- We might have our own music to listen to while playing and don't want to have to listen to yours.
great work so far though, keep at it!
Annoying bug. Whenever a new level is unlocked, the music starts over but keeps playing from before. Thus you hear 2 of the same song at the same time, then three, then four etc. only way i found to make music reset is to toggle the mute off then back on.
Ive played advanced wars. there are similarities. and by similarities i mean turn based battle. there isn't that much same in it. not copyright infringement.
Runes on the victory screen need descriptions.
Runes such as "prevent death" need further clarification.
Glitch: Winning stage in less than 30 seconds does not award the "win stage in 30 seconds" rune.
On to glitches/bugs/things I forgot to say in last post.
I should add that you need to clarify that boss fights are timed, it took me three tries before I even noticed the timer.
Also, the AI for minators/giants needs improvement. During the mummy levels when giants come, they tend to just attack one or two spots, allowing you to retake most of the map unhinged, then take out the giants. This makes it feel less like endurance or a constant attack and makes it too easy.
Anyway, glitches & bugs:
1. If you attempt a level with a certain score multiplier on, lose, and choose to restart directly form the 'you lose' screen, all the effects of the multipliers are turned off and the level starts on normal mode. On top of that, if you win on this reset mode, you still get the corresponding marks on the level display for winning in these modes.
I will post additional bugs and glitches as I progressively find them.
O-K. Let me start with a few suggestions. 1. Create descriptions for your skills. Some of them, such as attack, are obvious enough to figure out, but critical skills such as agility remained a mystery. I can't figure out how agility relates to the rate that population increases. Other skills became obvious once they were used, such as support.
2. Limit experiance to the sum of the highest scores made in each level, with separate scores for both Mummy and Normal modes. The game seems far too easy otherwise.
3. Make yourself look more unique from Gemcraft. I've seen this map layout there already.
4. Allow players to choose the number of soldiers sent, rather than always sending half.
There's probably more you can do to improve game as well.
