For game improvement: You need to enable us to end a round manually or at least end it when there are no humans left. In fact, I wrote all of this while waiting for my rounds to end. You should add how to eat humans in the instructions as well. When completing a level give the option to go to upgrades, map, or next level; we're tired of having to start back at title screen every time. Boats knock us back much too far and for too much time. The fish spends way too much time off screen; a major cause of death is sharks appearing when you're in mid air heading outside the screen. Please put up some sort of barrier to stop this from happening. More piranhas and better jaws are redundant upgrades. Show each tip ONCE, or at least let us turn them off. Fish stay in air far too long, let them move through air more quickly. Add a pause button with "return to main menu" or "return to map" options. The more piranhas upgrade is extremely over-powered; increase the cost for each one you get or have.
Major bugs: Sometimes the humans get stuck in midair and just keep going up if you hit them. Other times they swim in the opposite direction of where they're facing. The readout during level showing blood consumed does not match the amount shown at the end of a level, ever! Sometimes this makes a level impossible.
@irrimn You can buy buffs. If you kept playing long enough or read the icon key at the map view you’d know there are shops. The only reason to replay a level is to complete the bonus objectives.
Spoilers ahead: I needed a knife to cut off a leaf? Why do I have to use THAT light bulb in THAT light, rather than any other one? What is with this obsession with rubies?
Let's see. in the tutorial for both races i cannot find any buoy or target drone. once i skip that i end up in a ship of some sort with no options and no way of moving or interacting with anything. this is inexcusable! For having bugged game so obvious and impossible to play, you get 1/5. Any amount of testing would be able to see these blatant errors. From the looks of it, you didn't even try.
If Dave isn't a ghost, then chances are you're the killer. A figment of your imagination wouldn't know more than you (such as where the body is). If he was just made-up, he would have to have been created by someone who knew where to find the body. I'm also wondering what's in those other recently-dug holes.
Controls aside, this game gives a lot of good options to the player. You can rewind time without penalty, and you are scored based of the number of moves you made, not how long it took to make them. Only thing I would suggest is the option to see how many moves a level takes to get gold and silver while in the level. Also might want to put up a message saying "Press esc for menu."
I can assure you I did not use any telepathic abilities to force the game designer to speak kindly of me. I instead used conventional manipulation to achieve the desired profile.
My main complaint is that puzzles are only "sometimes" possible. The direction people walk and whether or not they go through doors is critical in many puzzles but it is random each time the level starts.
As you play this game, you begin to think to yourself, "God this game SUCKS! Why is it rated so high?" It's fairly easy to guess, but I'll point it out anyway. I don't want to sound like some crazy conspiracy theorist, but I believe Kongregate has fixed this game's rating because it promotes the buying of 'kreds.'
