Cool game for a sidewinder but definitely a grinder. The lvls start to suk rite at the beginning of the second screen. U will be restarting constantly as the lvls are mainly overwhelming and the shop items are somewhat inadequate and way too overpriced. As with the previous TZ games you will be required to put in excessive time and cussing only to ultimately look the game up on a hack site in order to actually play it and or finish it. 3 stars.
Survival mode suks. Any effort is pointless no matter what upgrades you achieve, no matter what weapon you procure, no matter how long you hang on, you only play until you fail. I detest those kinds of grind. You die, you start from scratch. Screw that.
Ok, I've been playing an hour on lvl 28 with jackhammer, all weapons purchased, all upgrades accomplished plus 1, over 2 mil exp, over $800,000 and nothing left to spend it on. There is no lvl 29. It's been fun. 5 stars.
Yeah, when you get to lvl 28 and all your attributes are maxed out & you have the jackhammer, you may as well shut it off and save yourself the frustration. It kinda loses it's fun at that point, and there is really nothing further left to accomplish. 5 stars.
Yeah, I have to agree, these kinda games kinda suck. Here the controls are a little too atypically configured and not worth learning. And yeah, not being able to fire while moving & jumping is too big of a handicap. I was able to make 'climb' work once and I'm not really certain how. Other than that the game appears to be just another 'play till you lose' program as the more that you progress and upgrade, so does the program exponentially, until what you have is pandemonium until you lose.
It's fun until the programed glitches freeze you in place and your survivors begin getting picked off until your barricade fails at which the whole game sucks and all you can do is bang buttons futilely and watch because there isn't even a pause reset or menu option.
The sound track is obnoxious as hell. The parameters of the game are non existent. I'm not sure what other factors that there are in relation to this game except maybe some sort of new age mumbo-jumbo B.S. Game over? Why? Um, who cares. No big loss.
Very reminiscent of Wolfenstein mixed with ominous background like that of Doom, how cool. Only instead of countless nazies and shepherds, you check in with Carl McCoy, the shop keeper. The vertiginous movement/motion takes some getting used to, I'm not sure if I ever will. After a while, no matter which way you turn to look there is always an opponent or two attacking from the behind. I found that when encountering a cross aisle or corridor if I just move forward then straight back and wait for assailants to move into view it sometime saves getting blind sided.
