1/5, literally a re-skin of your Cartoon Network game "Attack of the Johnnies." Half the skill descriptions remain unchanged and it even called gems "protons."
Loved the Legend of the Void games, some of the very best flash RPGs out there, in my opinion. When I saw that it was an MMO I was very apprehensive, but this looks legitimately interesting. Also, when I saw there was mana I was confused by what everyone was talking about when they said "no energy system," and then I remember the shitty practice most "F2P" flash mmos use to lock people out after some time a day unless they pay or wait, so, thank you for that.
I was just about to be angry at how this game had a 4 star rating, but then I saw the ending. 5/5 I did enjoy my time with the game otherwise, but dat ending.
Bought this game awhile ago, and don't regret a thing. I would recommend it to any fan of the TD genre. Replaying levels with new and stronger characters is strangely satisfying. I named most of the defenders, other than the main ones, after friends and fictional characters, so their talent tree's ended up taking on their personalities. Fun stuff.
Not sure what exactly you're planning on adding to the final version, but bindable keys and a tutorial of some sort would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, this looks rather promising. I've been a fan of yours for years, and I'd love for this to be greenlit. Good luck, Nerdook.
Thanks. Definitely a clearer tutorial, sound controls, rebindable keys, some sort of local co-op, and a few other features on the drawing board. The Flash demo took 3 days of coding, and is missing a bunch of stuff from the real game, including a more efficient collision detection (you'll notice some odd behaviour from spike blocks, for example)
This entire game feels like a huge Elite 4 dungeon from Pokemon, and I'm not complaining. The things the students say before and after a battle feels very original Pokemon-esque as well. It's a unique mix of things and in my 3 days of playing it I've already invested more time into it than most of the games I bought on Steam during this summer sale. 5/5
Dang it... I made it all the way to the end just to be killed by a boss since I didn't kill it before getting into the portal, thus resulting in a game over... Really big turn off... :/
