Fun little game, amazing music! Admittedly, I brute-forced the last couple Toggle Gates levels since I couldn't track it all in my head, haha. Great stuff, thank you!
This was a fun little idle game, though having achievements far beyond the scope of casual play seems unwise. However, once they broke the game and money spent isn't saved or accumulated offline, it lost validity for me. Changing my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars, sorry to say.
12 years and we still have to take off a hat to put on a belt? I'd hoped that time-wasting silliness would have been lost over the ages... that said, great to see this back again, thank you Mr. Bonte!
It's easy to tell this game was made a long time ago, it lacks the elegant simplicity usually found in Bonte games. So. Much. Walking. Can't see the target without walking back... I didn't know it was possible to despise a Bonte game until now, haha
Great idea, but DAMN I hate the way the jumping dude jumps, enough that I can't finish this. Please fix,it's a great concept, just needs work on the platforming controls and response, thanks.
This was fun, a bit challenging, and the music never got annoying. Figuring out the power-ups was actually more interesting than just reading something. Nice work!
This isn't a game, this is job training for being a dispatcher or similar position. You shouldn't have to pay for things, this game should pay you, since it resembles work and lacks any fun. Seems a waste of good talent to put all this together, but forget to make it interesting or enjoyable.
Bah, I've been pecking at glacier-slow progress on this over the last week or so. Today, it's a full reset, and apparently at the same pace as before. I'm done, I'll check it out on release. Hopefully they heed the overwhelming input to speed up the pace.
The problem I'm seeing is.. the ads aren't helping! I'm not having more fun by opting to watch them, I'm just grinding and grinding, and still haven't cleared the first wall. If the curve isn't so steep in the initial segment, at least... perhaps it would be easier to get more into it. But after 20 upgrades, I still don't feel I've made any progress, and have no clue when I will. Clearing that first hurdle with less difficulty would be a BIG step in the right direction. (Not in 5-10 iterations, but less than 200-300+)
BB1 and 2 were grindy but entertaining because stuff was always happening. Adding to the grind reveals how thin the gameplay is, seems like a bad design choice. I hate seeing a good game that downgrades itself, and makes players work to earn or pay for that good game, so hopefully they'll reconsider the pacing. Looks great, though! Meanwhile, BUG: after muting the sound and raising the volume back up, I have music but not sound effects.
Grindy McGrinderson, and just when it's getting manageable, the final stage boss is upgraded? It's like saying 'Look, spend money or get nowhere!' Screw that, the game's not THAT good. 3/5
Incredibly boring, awful design ideas! Why go with a larger area when you're a low-resolution game, it makes it harder to see what the big blocky pixels are supposed to be! And let people click out without pausing while waiting for long cutscenes and fades rather than having the 'attention whore' approach, people DO multitask these days. Good ambiance and great music, but takes so long to get to it that I've lost interest before it gets interesting, and by then I don't really care.
OH COME ON, LET ME BLINK ALREADY! :) Really amazing game, perfectly balanced with training being incredibly helpful instead of a distraction with a negligible bonus. Take note, other games! My tip - practice all training, sure, but find the 1-2 you're best with and focus on those. I jumped from level 70-something to 115 after 30-40 minutes of Archery, trying to get missions and the biggest combo I could. Only downside to the game, I don't want to replay it after beating the last boss. 4.5/5, best game I've seen on Kong in a while!
"Was that supposed to be funny?" My feelings about all of these cutscenes. That aside, the game is a perfectly acceptable upgrading side-scrolling shooter, nicely done! 4/5
SHUT... UP! SHUT UP! STOP TALKING! WHERE THE HELL IS MUTE! ... okay, calming down now. But besides all the errors noted, any game that forces you to listen to spoken dialogue without any real 'skip this crap' or 'mute' function is idiotic in today's gaming. 1/5 for pretty pictures and no understanding of making modern games.
Obnoxiously repetitive, upgrades seem to do next to nothing, boring.. played long enough to get the badges, will never play again. Waste of everyone's time. 2/5 for, I guess, the half-hearted effort...
Wow, this did NOT need to be highlighted. Yet another 'launch' game trying to spice it up with cute graphics, but upgrades are barely helpful, responsiveness is hit-and-miss, boosts fail often because of it, and the 3rd stage is unforgiveabely long and boring. The cuteness wears off fast, and this drags on WAY too much. 3/5 only because you can tell time was put into the animations, and good initial response to feedback, but otherwise it's a 2 at best.
This game is so poorly made, the badges won't even show up. 2nd time to win a game, still nothing. Pure garbage, Kongregate is really slipping these days. What a shame.
This game is a lie. It has as much 'physics' in it as a peanut butter sandwich has zebras. Trying to kick the ball forward usually results in some inexplicable change of direction that causes you to lose, and blocking makes the ball magically rebound into the goal anyway like JFK's magic bullet. Doesn't deserve to be on Kongregate, and whoever gave it a badge should be fired. Still 1 of 5 stars
we are sorry :(
