Not the greatest (wasn't a big fan of rapid clicking the attack button and my mouse now clicks every time I release a drag drop,) but I'm glad to see a change in the series and a fix to the memory leak issues that made the old games unplayable after 5 or 10 minutes.
Just to be clear. This game will not teach you Japanese. However this is a fun way to practice recognition if you are just getting into learning the language. If you complete the game I would highly recommend continuing with a class (assuming you are not already in one).
Yep, exactly - this game helps you recognize hiragana and katakana more quickly, but it is not meant to teach the language. You won't be able to speak Japanese just because you have finished this game. A course is highly recommended, or maybe some online tutorials!
"Sorry but requires a powerful computer", translation: somethings broken and I don't really care enough to learn how to properly allocate and deallocate resources..
That is the most awkward and unnatural victory animation I have ever seen. I get that you wanted to include some sort of fan service thing but please at least make it look natural.
Thank goodness that platforms aren't always paired by either large groups of enemies or instant death pits otherwise the lag might make the game impossible. I'm especially glad that the third level doesn't begin with a pixel perfect jump that when missed traps you in combat while you wait for some sort of instant death ghost (which was also thankfully not included). The perfect game. I am thankful that I started playing 6 months after all the memory leaks were fixed otherwise this game might be unplayable.
The mutations should really be more random then they are. Pretty much only the most useless ones appear (bomber, spitter, and swag) in the last area. Can't even count how many times I've died because I get the swag and movement is reversed causing me to hurl myself at the nearest five cars.
The game is pretty fun. I've always been a big fan of picross. However making usability options unlockable is a terrible idea. Don't punish your players for being different or having some sort of disability/limitation.
Last boss seems to be bugged. I hit him after his weird purple magic attack and the game just said I won even though he had only lost maybe 5% of his hp total. Also, what is the point of a walkthrough? Most of the game is random chance, there really isn't much you can explain other than how to fight the bosses. It seems kind of useless.
wow, this game is really mean to deaf people. If you want to dodge arrows you need to either be really good at guessing, have less that split second reflexes with perfect vision, or be able to hear her say they are coming in. If you are going to put an audio queue for events you should add a visual one to accompany it.
I've never met someone so capable of making so many different things look so exactly the same and completely indistinguishable from the environment. I'm fine with playing hard games, but I'd at least like to see what is going to kill me before I actually die.
got the long range award for a 125 ft own goal... -.- really wish the game told me player #1 was the goalie so I didn't put all his stats in passing and throw.
Just a heads up for anyone trying to get the in game Space Ace (550k feet without damage) achievement: Blackholes do not count as damage and the large radar is vital for dodging when you have the level 5 gear (level 5 gear makes you go too fast to notice stuff hidden in clouds).
Only on level 2 and I'm not sure if I hit a bug or not, basically all my men keep running out of the trench rather than letting me get enough forces together.
finally beat it. The main issue this game has (besides how difficult it is to select and move units around) is over evolution. Basically your bots evolve too much when they are on one of the special tiles and become useless. For example with the piercer level your units become these long range high powered units that can't turn fast enough to stop the enemy from taking every thing over and producing an army. Also on the boss levels you need to produce units as quickly as possible and you can't really tell who you are clicking so you end up reproducing your worst units.
this game would be a lot easier if you could tell your units to target either enemies or spaces. On the piercer level I can't win because my bugs keep trying to blast the spaces and not the enemies shooting at them.
