Each swing of the pickaxe requires a separate click of the mouse? Seriously? Mining isn't automatic and tied into which direction I'm moving like it is in just about every other mining game in the world? There's no way I'm going to play something this tedious.
Wow, so many comments, and not a single developer response. I don't think the game-maker gives a damn about making improvements, guys. Also, over 17 hours of game play and I'm just now at the 1% mark? (Okay, 0.99% if you want to get technical about it.) Screw this.
Also, the color/status bars on the hit point meters don't make any sense. Blue on the left with white on the right? That's easy, the blue is the HP I still have, the white is what I've lost. White on the left, dark blue in the middle, light blue on the right? I'm confused. White on the left, dark orange in the middle, light orange on the right? Okay, I'm completely lost. And apparently going through a teleporter also completely heals you? Weird. Not going to rate this, but not going to keep playing, either.
Not sure what the point is to the buildings in town that can't be entered. If they're just decoration, why have paths that lead to them? The text needs some work on the grammar. In the armor tutorial, for instance "the require attributes" when it should be "the required attributes", and "the lowest your armor" when it should be "the lower your armor". A way to change party order would be nice; I made a mage first because I like mages, but she's soaking up a lot of damage that she shouldn't be. (If there's a way to change it, I can't find it.)
I've encountered the same problem -- the game plays fine at first, but if you play too long, suddenly you're moving at the speed of a glacier. I'm not in the least surprised that others have reported this issue. What I *am* surprised by is the way the developer chooses to respond to the reports. Have another one-star review. (And as somebody else said, I'd also like the option to drop back down to a previous league when I'm getting my ass kicked.)
Even by the standards of upgrade games in general, progress feels really slow to me so far. And like someone said above, I also have a problem with the grammar -- not just the use of "u" in place of "you", but that's certainly the worst offense.
I love how the character/account creation screen at the very beginning of the game includes a drop-down menu where the options aren't even explained. Okay, Ares was the Greek god of war, but what does "Ares 65%" even mean? And since things chosen on starting screens like this are very rarely something that can be changed in most games, odds are good I'd be stuck with whatever it is. Think I'll go play something else.
How much time am I supposed to spend dying and slowly building up XP and money to actually... oh, I don't know, GET ANYWHERE?! Even before the bats appeared, I was having a huge problem with the undead. "Hi, here's something that can easily kill you that requires half a dozen hits or more for you to take down. Not frustrated enough yet? That's cool, here's three more of these guys. Oh, and keep working on that door -- it only has about five thousand hit points, but at least it regenerates every time you die."
This first mission -- either it needs more lucrative resources, or a longer time limit. Or better yet, how about no time limit at all? Also, when I fail because I ran out of time or was destroyed or whatever, it would be nice if the game didn't completely reset everything. Starting over from scratch is seriously reducing the entertainment value of this game.
"Please create or sign in to a Kongregate account in order to play," says the game, as I sit here signed into my account. Guess I won't be playing this one...
Seems to be an issue on Kongregate's end or with your Unity player. Please make sure that it's up to date and that the cache for it is clear. Also make sure that your browser and OS does not conflict with Unity web player.
It's possible I'm missing something, but I really don't see the appeal. "Click this! Now click this! Now you can click other things! Make your numbers bigger!"
It's alright that you don't see the appeal immediately, but there is more going on than just making the numbers bigger (although that is a very important!) Try clanning some other players, join an Armada and participate in a few events (Armada Wars, Raids, etc). If that doesn't do it for you, we still appreciate you checking the game out! :)
The intro is long, dull, and contains bad grammar. The main character doesn't seem particularly bright. ("Something changed." No kidding?) The egg puns are painful. Won't be playing this again.
Can't keep playing the main game until I either solve a puzzle or pay to skip it? And then there are your non-stop, obnoxious "Reload the game!" messages. Hope you enjoy this one-star rating.
It takes entirely too long to save up for anything worthwhile. $160K for a booster, when most launch games have some form of them available almost from the start? Not worth it. Especially when it's only a single use, and there aren't any mid-air refuel options/objects. I've played some great launch games, but this one isn't much fun at all.
Every other turn, I'm completely unable to take any actions because of some battle or other. Oh, wait, there's a "skip battle delay" button. Well, that just ends my turn... without the benefit of me earning extra money. What the hell is this?
I'm playing the tutorial right now, and I still have very little idea what's going on. What's with the floating plus signs? Clicking on them doesn't do anything, moving my party over them doesn't do anything. This all seems a little too random to me, plus I don't think my participation is even needed. I scrolled down to try to read some comments, and of course the game kept running. I beat the first boss without doing anything.
Well, I was kind of into the game for a bit, but then my active game froze, and it doesn't want to restart even when I reload the game and call up the save again. It's such a pain in the ass to rebuild that I don't know if I'll bother starting over...
teleport dont heal and health bar worked fine last time I check
