To start, this is not an RPG. The animations are nice, but the handling is very bad. Melee is frustrating because 1. how many attacks are done on a mouse down is very hard to guess and 2. one has the instinct to just point with the mouse and expect the character to turn that way. Which I think should be how it works if the LMB is held down. Also, both melee and ranged attacks are inaccurate.
Please allow the player to change the controls freely. For me, the attack and jump buttons are completely ass-backwards, and I died many times do to pressing the wrong button. I know that there are two profiles, but it's more of a lefty-righty thing than a proper solution.
If only the main puzzle wasn't so illogical. I set up the blue and red pieces so that they would send the moving piece further to the green area, but it wasn't accepted. I don't see how the solution in the speedrun is any better.
It was nice, but the first bit (finding the clues) seemed to be a bit tiresome: running around and talking to everybody 5 times. It somehow worked better in earlier games. However, the part where you were the mummy were fun; it should have been longer.
I like the promise of the game, but the balance is completely off. By the time I acquire the first princess, the dragon is already max level and only a few missions are left. Also, before reaching max level, there is hardly anything the dragon can do (maybe the first 4-5 fights). This should be much more gradual.
Not bad, but weaker than the other games. It's great having 4 storylines, but 2 of them are really short, and only one is long enough for a proper adventure. Also, the path-finding is abysmal (actually probably non-existent); with mouse controls I couldn't cross the desert once without accidentally entering one of the cities on the way. Otherwise a solid title, but it is really not difficult to implement a basic pathfinding algorithm...
Hey, I know the individual storylines are rather short - the 4 of them together combine to make an adventure of a decent length though. For most players, the 1st storyline they play is the longest, and the last one the shortest, whichever it is, because by then they're familiar with the locations. About pathfinding - it's done by the game engine, and I have sadly no control over it - it doesn't see the town entrances as obstacles. I prefer to play with the keyboard to have better control over movement. With the mouse, you have to click a bit more and "hold the character's hand" :D
In later levels, I spend half of the time clicking on the next/previous page buttons. This really takes the fun out of the game. Clues should be removed as soon as they are fulfilled. Also, as others have said, it would be nice to have the minimum number of clues -- no need for all the redundant ones.
I think Picma 2 is way better than this. Nice music and all, but the "touch" (mouse) controls are very tiresome. Right click as X, as in Picma, would work much better.
Done!
