It'd be nice if you didn't have to click the dialogue box when restarting a level, and although I appreciate there's a trade off there, I'd suggest getting rid of the prompt on restart too. It's so easy to make mistakes, and it'd just be nice to be able to restart much faster. Great game, though!
LOVE it apart from the grinding. I almost wouldn't mind if it were just a little bit (all included levels are fun two-three maybe four times), but repeating the same strategy on the same level ad nauseam is just not fun. 4/5 until it is somehow dealt with.
There are games you can keep playing because they are things of design beauty. Then there are games that you can keep playing because they are designed to be time sinks so that they generate more ad revenue. This game belongs in the latter category. 2/5 because production value at least isn't horrible.
This really is one of the most pointless time sinks on Kongregate. There is NO relationship between doing a "good" shot, i.e. good angle and full power, and how long you actually go. It's essentially a lottery, except you are forced to sit with your finger planted on the 'Right'-keypad key for literally 5-10 minutes at a time. How on Earth is this getting a 4+ score??
The game dynamics are pretty good, but I blows my mind why you would make FOUR stages with NO progress what so ever. It is literally entirely pointless, and turns the game into one long quasi-survival level with annoying interruptions that force you to start all over.
Take a great idea, and turn it into a grind so people stay longer for ad-revenue. That is pretty much this. Nice game ,but way way way too slow progression. 2/5 because at least production value isn't horrible.
I do like it, but the first five minutes of each game are too repetitive. It's fun once you've grown to a certain size, but eating fishes and small boats for five minutes is just boring. Maybe add some way of skipping the first 10, 25, or 50 tons once you've reached them a few times?
Platforms seem to disappear (without me having used them) too many times for this to be fun. If I can't count on platforms being there when I come down again, what is the point? Apart from that it's a really well done game. 3/5
Does 'Grid Paper Perfection Badge' require four stars on all levels, or simply that you complete all levels? I can't tell if I am bugged or if I just need to get all stars on all levels too.
