As others have stated, the tower upgrades need work. Good and well-polished otherwise. The thing I don't like about story line TDs is they end. I would much rather have unique and branching upgrades with an endless mode than a story (that I skipped through anyhow).
1) Gets very grindy after ~50 launches. By that point the upgrades seem meaningless. 2) Not sure what the XP is for. 3) Getting coins does not scale the way best height and best distance do. It is far, far better to use kongpanions that help launch and thrust than bother with magnets and coin bonuses. 4) Balloons destroy your speed too much. It is frustrating to get a max launch with 4 power generators, hit a balloon or two and only be doing ~26 kph before you even hit the ground. Maybe the XP could be used to upgrade the rocket to have a pointy nose? 5) More objects doesnt seem to be a bonus. Given the massive negative effect balloons have on your speed and a lack of any bonus objects to hit in the air I try to avoid adding objects.
Just had a bug where my run ended mid-air. My forward velocity was .22 and my run was about to end when I inched forward just enough to hit a spring. I am guessing my forward velocity hit the threshold to end the game while I was in the air and there was no check done to ensure that I was actually on the ground.
My company firewall doesn't like the method being used for logging in so it just hangs forever. Its a shame I can't play this one because I really liked the last 2 games. :(
Maybe I'm not understanding something, but if every hero has to be placed on a tower, why not just include the price of the tower into their cost and get rid of the two step process of buying a tower, then buying a hero?
@pobertybob - You get gems from any material; The odds do not change based on the expensiveness of the material. To get gems the quickest, find the material that your autoclick can destroy in one hit. You'll get 30 in about 10 seconds. ;)
There is a bug where after you die, you have to click conrinue, but then Up/W doesn't start a new game until you click on the screen again. Either need to get rid of the need for a second click or make the enter key clear the end screen.
@Redleader and @trickyrodent: Sure, its my opinion that this "game" is crap. It is my opinion that I dislike games in which the 1 button you get to push has no bearing on the outcome. It is my opinion that games which constantly disconnect you from the server are not fun. It is my opinion that other games which only require pushing 1 button did not get badges (oh wait, that one's a fact). How is this for a fact: 26 of the last 50 comments (over half!) are neg rep'd because they criticize a bad game. Yeah, sounds like a lot of people love this game...
WORST.GAME.EVER. I really don't see how this game got badges. This game involves jamming one button frequently. Other games that require no thought and only 1 button do not get badges. Its a shame when games that try to milk money from people get badges while games that are actually fun, challenging, and...well...GAMES! do not. If this is the kind of crap that GameStop wants Kongregate to push, my yearly Kong+ money would be better spent elsewhere.
We actually choose which games get badges based primarily on user ratings. You make not like the same stuff that other users like, but the badges on this game are definitely not about a corporate agenda.
I finished the game...badge didn't register. Take a screenshot and flash crashes. Reload the game and OMFG THE GAME DOESN'T AUTOSAVE!?!?!?! There went one of the 2 stars I gave it. I love the concept, but if this is Bot Arena _3_ (yes, the THIRD attempt), I anxiously await Bot Arena 15.
The tutorial seems to indicate that pressing up or down will have an effect on my racer, but in a Quick race they don't seem to do anything. My races end randomly, my guy mills around, then suddenly I'm racing again. How do I get back to a menu? How do I upgrade my racer? What does collecting crystals do for me?
So much clicking!! I'm mean come on! You couldn't figure out if ubound(NumberOfMonsters)=1 then SelectLastMonster? And the upgrade path is essentially linear so why the heck do I have to open the rucksack, click the upgrade skill button, select the one upgradeable skill set, then click to upgrade the one available choice?? You could easily cut the amount of clicking in half.
WORD OF WARNING BEFORE SPENDING CREDS! There is a bug in the game that prevents research from being carried from one PC to the next. Research upgrades are apparently stored locally and NOT on the server. This means that upgrades you PAY MONEY FOR will NOT be availbel if you play the game on a different PC!! + this so others can be warned!
I like nijakiwi games. I love the bloonsTD series. This one however...not so good. Too much grinding, and the power ups are kinda dumb. For example, upgrading darts on my left hand does not affect the darts on my right hand (right handed weapons apparently come out of a different design bureau). The most obvious missing upgrade is a larger magnet or a friend to help pick them up (I mean come on, this is a job so easy a monkey could do it!).
This game is a complete pile. My inventory is cluttered with junk I can't use making it impossible to find stuff I CAN use. My collection is full of duplicates I can't add to my deck making it difficult to find cards I can add to my deck. The energy meter/XP gain seems specifically designed to get me to pay for an energy refill so I can get 1 more fight to level up...and get my energy refilled for free. Plus, the whole concept of "rare" cards in a digital game is just asinine (sorry, 10101100 is a rare string of 1's and 0's!). I will be selling digital Brooklyn Bridges for $1 if anyone is buying (but digital London Bridges are more).
