I fair-enough spot-the-difference (although I reaaaaaaally doubt you licensed these Iron Man pics), right up until the repeat of the Iron-Man-smashing-through-glass picture comes up with the click positions set wrong. Oh, there's a line THERE that's not HERE? Click all you want, it's just an error. Oooh, a fragment up glass up there that's not on the other side? Clicking it doesn't give you a fail, but doesn't give a success either. Game's broken.
Dear everyone: if you're like me and got stuck in the very first room, it's because the controls in the instructions section are incomplete: You can hit 'E' to activate stuff. Yeah, now you know, that big 'E' on that console seems obvious, doesn't it?
A few other things. The microtransactions bit from the mobile version still operate (except without actually costing money) so you can buy every upgrade straight away. Health upgrades don't seem to do anything, as the only things that hurt you are insta-kill... Or at least, I couldn't find anything that did incremental damage. Boosting doesn't make you hit cars hard, so it doesn't really seem to have a purpose except to get through the game quicker? And there's no real gameplay cycle; the game is super-simple, upgrades are over-expensive and under-powered, and nothing changes, so what's the point?
"GAMEPLAY
- Touch to steer
- Touch nitro button to accelerate
- Touch camera to change it"
Oh-oh, someone copied over their mobile port without paying attention again. :( Good news is, at least you can use arrow keys to steer, so that's good. Oooh, and a bug report; if you hit the nitro button when you have some, you still get a short boost... which means, if you hit space fast enough, you basically have perma-nitro.
Soo, in your other game you say you're 12 years old. That means, if you made this, your name is Alan Rawkins and you made this when you were... let me just get my calculator here... 1 year old.
And how weird this looks almost exactly like arawkins' "Dolphin Olympics 2", just with the "2" missing: https://www.kongregate.com/games/arawkins/dolphin-olympics-2
I get this weird feeling you're just uploading other people's games.
And more hentai thumbnails. Classy.
Wow, weird how you say you made this, but it links to Sheppard Software. Really weird given the logo looks nothing like this game, and the thumbanil is _hentai_.
So every animal shows up once, it already uses the same sequence, and the last animal shows a picture of a _lobster_, but the right button says _locust_? Buhh?
I found an oddly-coloured wall. I was able to run right through it. I found myself on a small area outside the maze, with no wall preventing going outside. I walked past the edge and, sure enough, fell forever.
Part of game design is anticipating how players may break your game (or what may happen if, like here, you broke it yourself), and allowing for it. A quick check to see if the player was -XX units below the bottom of the maze, and either killing them or teleporting them back to the start, would work for this.
Oh, and I guess the shop screen can wind up losing the control to buy anything, and even reloading the browser doesn't fix it? Wha... how is that even possible in a game where saving doesn't work?!?
Oh, no. 1) Way too many clicks to upgrade, way too few incremental upgrades to make it worthwhile. 2) The % chance to successfully upgrade is weeeeird. So I have to make more money for each upgrade... and it'll more than often just waste that cash? Come on. 3) Who decided to put the "Exit" button that quits the game is in the same place as the "Exit" button that moves you between screen, *which is also labelled exit*, making it easy to accidentally click and boot you to the title screen? That wouldn't be awful, except 4) despire the only option on the title screen being "Load Game", THE GAME DOESN'T ACTUALLY SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. Wanted to upgrade your pick, but forgot you have to click on the hut instead of below it, like you do with the mines? Back to the beginning for you!
First: you don't need to post up unfinished, mess-around games. Wait until you've finished it. Second; you may well want to take your basic engine and do something more with it, it's satisfying to jump and spin, and the teleportation let's you get game-breakingly fast, which is fun. Third, you describe this as a parody, but... a parody of what, exactly? To be clear, just having a reference to something (and I've no idea what is being referenced here) is not parody.
I can't play this at all: once I get to the opening cutscene ("Alright, Saph"), it says "Left Click to Continue", but left clicking doesn't do anything. Maybe that's part of the "Intentionally Broken" theme, but if so, it may be a bit too far; I honestly can't find any way to progress. I suspect it isn't, though?
Sorry about that! Apparently the whole system I created to load the text files doesn't work in browsers; just had to re-do the whole thing using a work around. Should work now, sorry about the whole thing!
First: please, don't post your tech demos as finished games. I get it, you've made your first thing, you have rooms and can run around and there are working triggers and things, and you're proud of your accomplishments. That's fine. But we don't need to see it.
Feedback for V0.02: Walking speed is too low. So is running speed, actually. Camera sway is way too high. Game doesn't lock the cursor to the screen, which makes turning round a chore. Lose the "PS" from the end of the puzzle: it's simple enough to not need it. The second door wouldn't open at first, not sure why, possibly the trigger doesn't fire if you're already at the door when they would open?
Yeah, gonna mirror the other comments: this seems like it could be really good from what little I've played, but "swiping" with a mouse is baaaad. Let me know when you add other controls and I'll be back.
I made lots of small stuff on various other sites, but nothing on this kind of scale.
