Griffo: Well 20-20-20 3 pulls are kind of an unfair comparison, the mage should do alot more damage in that situation. The only reason the 3 pulls are regularly successful is that he significantly out levels and out gears everything he is fighting. Durring the non-level capped portion of the game he won't be that much more powerful than the regular mobs unless he fights MUCH lower level mobs. In other words, the point I would like to balance on is 1-69 blue/green gear, experience per second (not necessarily dps). I am interested in your exact dps numbers though, at the very least its good to consider, thanks for the help!
I would love to have a couple kongregate achievements. Those can only be bestowed by the kongregate gods, it is not in my control. The game will become eligible if we can get the rating above 4. It may be tough to get the rating up there tho, I think there's quite a bit of hate for the game from people that either hate idles or are worried what blizzard thinks. Rating is 3.91, so close but so far lol.
Good call Griffo, I'll add auto-save to Dungeons too. I just want to drastically reduce the number of saves (before it saved extremely frequently) because my suspicion is that this is triggering some sort of security measure (OS/antivirus/browser) on some computers, that is preventing the save then.
WARNING: In an attempt to address the saving issues, I have decided to change the saving model to manual. Your character will still automatically create a backup whenever you level, but all saves beyond that will be manual so BEWARE! I will repeat this warning when it is released.
I've done almost everything I can from a code perspective to protect the saving process, most people have no problem at all, so what I've done should in general work, but it still seems some people are having saving issues. If you have an issue with saving please post the following info: OS, Browser, whether character was deleted or just reverted, level, class and whether there were extra circumstances like a power outage or OS/browser crash. I'm hoping there is some kind of pattern.
Ack, priest is that good eh? I hadn't tested him at the upper levels and was hoping I would get a chance before people got there. My intention with him was that he would die (and rest) much more rarely but take much longer to kill things. I probably need to go back through and remove some of his damage then.
Hmm...clever shmanel. How about if I wipe rage when you change modes as well? Idle/Grind/Quest/instance. I think that should solve it. Also I think I'll cap it at a certain point.
VE has an incorrect tooltip, it is 75% and its supposed to be, I'll fix the tooltip. Next update I'm planning a stats panel with exp per second, dps, kills per second etc. So you can track the efficiency of your build/gear for your level. Also I plan to track on the website some statistics about the fastest levelers (in time played so time you close the window won't count) to add a little competition to this ;)
Before this comes out of beta I will have to add a help button haletripp. CD means cooldown as in time between casting the spell and casting it again. You must take all 10 points in the spell directly above a spell to unlock the one below it. Hope that helps ;)
Thanks shman and craftsman, I reloaded with fixes for both those. I accidentally had it so that there was a hidden point in shadow...causing holy to not work.
I cannot trouble shoot the saving issue without a save file emailed to me from someone that it happened to. Can someone please mail one to me abra2440@gmail.com. Also, if you lose a character, do not create a new character in the same slot before you mail the save file to me, the 2 people that have tried to send one to me did that, it makes the save file useless.
wand+ tome > staff because it's easier to get 1 item than 2. Also, you cannot buy tomes, so they are even more rare. The difference may be a bit much, so I'll look at that, but I want there to be a difference. I wanted priest to be in the last update but I wanted to get Heroics out to give people something to do. Priest is in next update for sure, along with a 4th save slot for those of you using all 3 already ;)
Hungarfen is designed to be the gatekeeper. I had to give him some bonuses, he is immune to cheap shot, takes half damage from pyroblast and does extra damage to warriors. If you have epic gear for your class you should be able to get past him if you use your talents well. If you don't have epic gear consider running the regular dungeon in hellfire, the last boss regularly drops epics.
Scarlet Monastary is in Arathi Basin because that is the closest zone to there that is the same level. I can't put scarlet monastary in tirisfal or level 19 people will wonder why the enemies there are so high level. I just simplified it a bit. It's in arathi cuz thats when you run it, not cuz that's where it is.
