I think a way to make it even more complex (and complexity seems to be the main benefit of this game over other idle games) would be letting you sell full sets (as in, one of each, MAYBE a double of gloves and shoes)
Possibly at less than the sum of the parts, but if so at a lesser time (as in, simulating giving discounts for packages)
I feel like the socialist side is rather empty at the moment.
When I chose it, I expected to have trouble getting any of my bills through, not to not HAVE any special bills.
Where's the bill to implement more government-run companies, for example?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by not having any "special bills". The Socialist Party has just as many binary bills and win bills as any other party.
I can't figure out this game - it could use a tutorial. Assuming it's not bugged - clicking Adventure does nothing, clicking every object I can see does nothing, and restarting a new game doesn't fix it.
One way to avoid the 'Lack of Food while idle' situation, might be to make all non-assigned people produce just enough food to pay for themselves - this wouldn't be Farm food, so it wouldn't get increased beyond a one-to-one by anything boosting Farm. Maybe do it by auto-assigning every newcomer to a new spot?
Fun game, but I think I'd prefer it in a turn-based mode. 4/5 for now, since it's a game worthy of 5/5, but too hectic to enjoy fully. (4/5 is still pretty good from me, though. I'm mostly saying designing it to be turn-based would let you sell it on steam :P)
It's got a few flaws, such as it being entirely possible to 'micro' your taxes by setting them up RIGHT before tax-season, so it's not quite 4/5. I'll rate 3/5 for now, it'll be 4/5 when you patch the various bugs and exploits, and if you build upon this to create a sequel that allows us to watch the combats, make quest-event decisions, and so on... It'd be 5/5 easily, and I might even pay for it (but, if you're going to charge, please do not release it here. Just leave a link in the description of the free one or something)
This is a great game, and I'd love to see a full-size 'Standalone' in the kind of Desktop Dungeon setup.
One of the annoying parts of Desktop Dungeon is how you have to be PERFECT all the time. This game solves that by allowing you to undo anything that doesn't kill you - so, you can just casually mess around, and then fix any issues.
THere's a repair-station, but so far no one's actually attacked my fort... Is the game not completed? Or did I just not get far enough? (I won a short while into Day 3)
This is a pretty fun game - A lot of it follows the 'Poker' mindset towards how to win; It's ultimately down to luck, but skill can push it significantly towards you winning. In particular, if you KNOW you can shoot first, you can use 3 bullets against 5 and still have the odds slightly in your favor (50% to shoot your opponent, with a 1/6 chance to survive even if you miss) I won SO many 'Team Deathmatch'-es by just being a bad-ass quick-shot.
This would be a great game in some '7 Day Game' or other time-limited thing, but I feel like it's quite unfinished and not very suited for general 'consumption'
This could be an amazing game if it was expanded upon.
In particular, if you always allow gradual weakening, you could let the player strategize between upgrading an existing unit or obtaining new units.
...Something really weird seems to have happened...
I suddenly have someone else's army, and have progressed further than I thought I had (as in, I thought I was in the middle of Act 2, now I'm somewhere in Act 3)
Heck, a lot of these units? I didn't even have the parts!
Unfortunately, I can't really tell you much about the details.
Yesterday I shut it down in some way or another, then today I log on, open another game in another window from 'Recommended Games', go to 'Buy Packs' where there's briefly a graphical glitch where the cards dissapear, and THEN I go to the army screen and see someone else's army.
I'm upset regarding the cat :\
I thought it'd be a great ally against the evil ravens, not turn out to be some scarred beast that tries to kill me before running off.
Heck, from the moment I saw the food-bowl and read the letter, I was looking for food for him - in the kitchen, in the basement, etcetera - since I wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally skip some potential side-content of feeding the cat.
