Very hard, but beatable so far (I have 34 stars). You MUST play the levels on survival mode to collect more stars (survival unlocks after beating a level on hard). You MUST work on achievements to earn more starting cash. You probably need to play some higher levels on easy or medium for extra stars, to get some of the lower hards. And you need play well. Go for rocket level 3 and mine level 3 first. Rocket the tanks. Drop mines on the medics/colonels ASAP. If necessary, rocket the medics/colonels and mine the tanks. Then get rocket 4.

It gets REALLY easy if you use the pause button. Pause, build a few leaves, unpause, build 2 cheap guns to hold off the first few bugs, then repeatedly pause to build a lot more leaves as the money comes in. That builds up HUGE income real fast. Then spam guns, and farm fruit. If you want extra starting water for the next level Cheese is the best thing to farm because they mature to fruit really fast. If you don't have cheese, blueberries are pretty quick too. They farm crazy fast if you cluster them around a few nutritions.

A permanent store should be HIGH PRIORITY. It was getting very frustrating piling up over 7k gold with no visible indication I would ever be able to spend it. And once I did find a merchant he had a single item for 500, and again I'm frustrated wondering if and when I'll ever be able to spend my gold again.

Upgrades: Put every point possible into Princess Skill. Seriously. You're a dead duck if you don't. Gem Shop: With a few level-replays you will barely be able to afford the Pot-Of-Gold for the final level. It would take unreasonable grinding to get any more than that.
At least ten times I've seen clones get stuck in the center of the five bumpers (level 14 I think). It happens pretty often if you have at least 200% clone.
