I've wasted most of an afternoon maxing everything out and getting through to lvl.105 and for no good reason as it's pretty much just a dead end. What a thankless way to end the game. All your armor, health, and weapon upgrades are worthless. The game is long enough to get burned out on then leave it cussing. It's time for netflix and back to a real life tomorrow morning.
So you CAN collect all 25 secrets. It takes a little while but can be done and in effect earning all achievements. Today I experienced very little movement bugs. Cool game, 5 stars. How about a sequel.
After all those hours, lock up, and start from scratch. Cheap shot. I thought the stupid movement glitches were aggravating enough, but to crash me out after maxing out most all my weapons and attributes? Won't save. That really sucks.
I thought I would come back and play this game again seeing as how I marked it as one of my favorites, but not any more. When my avatar dude glitches and starts moving in some direction and out of control I can no longer wait it out, he gets wiped out over and over, with no recourse. There goes trying to find all 25 secret dots. Damn! I've even got a new and faster more powerful P.C. so I'm pretty sure the problems not on my end. How disappointing. Yeah, after retrying at least a dozen times I give up, don't need the frustration.
The games looks cool, but it's not. I'm not going to spend hrs trying to memorize levels and try to learn to compensate for too slow and physically handicapped of an avatar. No fun no interest.
Screw this. At first look the appears pretty cool. But it's not. Strike three and you're out ninjakiwi, nktest, aaronninjakiwi, nksspool. Sorry, 1 star.
Two "Failed" is about all it took for me to "X" out. The game is waay to meticulous and time consuming for what is accomplished...especially if you fail or accidentally finish a mission before you're actually ready to. Both happened to me about one too many times. I don't want to keep going back repeatedly to retrace and re-search, that turns into too many wasted hours to be fun or interesting enough to keep me going. Plus, early on your capabilities and point of view are sooo limited it was hard for me to stick with it. And, as usual, as you progress and upgrade you don't seem to gain any real advantages as it seems the whole little zombie world within the game upgrades and or multiplies at an exponential rate to yours. These things just ran me out of patients, at least today.
If you enjoy getting killed as quickly as possible in order to upgrade, then this will tickle your fancy. No real strategy. Only lots of button banging. If you get killed about three or four times in a row you can upgrade something and maybe finish another mission. Over and over again. At least there is very little down time between 'pacified' and 'continue'.
Yawwn. What's the point again? Oh yeah, click on your little speck then click where you want your speck to move to, at an incredibly slow pace. Cuz it's always better to run for miles through urban terrain on foot rather than taking cars, especially for the coppers. So, where was I, click, click, raa, roarr, done. This game's kinda like watching grass grow and almost as predictable. I guess if I had to play this game for much more than 20 minutes then, I want to be the guy with the I.C.B.M. that turns the infected region of the dawn of the dead into another smoldering Racoon City, about 28 days later. Two stars.
Screw this! About 10 yrs ago this game was kind of a fun, when you could finish the game with the 50 cal rifle and armed survivors. Not any more. Now it's just obnoxious. None of the Last Stands are worth playing any more I'm afraid. The game has become quite pointless.
Not a bad game. It was a little disappointing that when you "finish the story" that you have to start from scratch. But it's still fun even for a side scroller style game.
