This game is fun. My only complaints would be that it's quite hard in the first few levels, then once you level up from world 5 it's quite easy. And in endless mode the difficulty doesn't ramp up quickly enough - I decided to die after 90 minutes out of boredom (without even tier 6 upgrades). Strategy: get the undead stuff first, then fire, and only upgrade non-spells in ice. With gargoyle to give health back, 2 quick spells every 6s and 2 crazy spells every minute, you can destroy pretty much everything coming your way...
strange to get the hard badge in my 2nd run, before even getting the medium badge... the dragon appeared on day 8! it's perfectly fine with a health potion.
such a cool game! although I tend to solve them 5 at a time and come back another day, to let my brain rest... too much mental calculation going on in this sequel :)
Fun game like the first one but as others have said, it's basically the first one again. The missions by pack of 3 should rather be more skill-based (no damage to leader for 1000m...) and all at the same time (what use are they when I've got all badges and only finished 30 of them?). Tightening the group in formation / getting rid of lesser fighters (riflemen and flammers) / setting instructions (marksmen on individuals, rockets on buildings / vehicles) would bring more depth.
This type of game is not my cup of tea so thanks for making the easy badge take only 3 minutes to get. The tutorial not in-game is a very bad idea - that led me to conclude that most of the game would likely feel very old and not intuitive.
Getting the hard badge gave me an arm cramp but it was worth it - quite short when time doesn't matter so much. The impossible badge... well I guess I'd better not even try.
This is a very strange game. Its ambition is pretty high but it doesn't quite succeed despite very nice parts. The philosophical part does not feel like it's part of the same game. And what about the deathmatch? If you don't win them the level doesn't count as solved and you have to beat the level again? This is really a game that could have gone from good to great by deciding what it wanted to be.
I don't understand how to beat the 2nd passion sage (floor 7): my first 2 attackers are redirected to an opponent they can't one-shot, and by the time he's dead the others have all played and one-shot half of my team. So within the first 15s I've already lost all hope. And this is just the beginning of the tower!
Important warning: the game does not save your current gauntlet level so you must do them all in a row (this includes NOT going back to menu during a run!). Story mode is saved though. Great game overall - I will NOT try the "finish without dying so much" accomplishment because that is for crazy people :)
Nice game, on the easy side though. A few levels a little bit more challenging but most of them including hard can be finished under 1 minute without much thought.
So how long does it take to finish all 5 areas? Since it took me a while to finish just the first one, I'd like to know how much time I need to commit in the game (which is great!)
This is a great game. Took almost 2h to get the good ending and find every single thing in it but it was worth it - nothing is too hidden, and the progression feels natural. I actually learned afterwards that the map indicates which part of the world you need to go to next, and can also show you an arrow telling you where it is in the world. Might help for those who are getting desperate for one item but overall it's more fun without!
The full FPA games are awesome. This demo is however lagging, with very poor controls and bugging quite often (falling through plaforms) which makes the medium badge 300 micro time incredibly difficult (I mean meat boy difficult). After hundreds of tries I'm still at 302. Why would give such a tight challenge to a demo?? Any minuscule delay in pressing a control during the challenge sets him out control - soooo frustrating.
this is a great fun game - it'd be even better if there were more challenges than just getting all flying objects, like get all birds or eat only swimmers 10 in a row... by the way I got the badge but missed one plane? Maybe the badge is bugging a bit but that means even if you miss one there is still a chance! Don't give up on mass killing from below, even if they scream!
(2/2) but not much has changed: still lagging a lot, still slow-motion "excellent" (does that make me more money? what's the meaning of these messages?), still very random (I have no clue why sometimes I go further), and forcing us to buy upgrades when we basically know we just need them all first and then try a couple of times to get to the end.
Bugged as hell - in the first level I became invisible after 2 seconds and nothing worked anymore. Then after restarting the game, I fell in the wall at the end of the level. And it lags a lot. So I guess the game was good before?
I don't understand the logic unfortunately - I'm just rotating randomly but after 7 levels the way things change in 3d is a total mystery. Can anyone explain?
Nice 15min game but probably targeting kids as it feels very simple - some more complex contraptions would bring more depth. The only issue I had was with flimsy controls - plugging the socket or opening the traps in one of the rooms was infuriating with a mousepad.
Awesome game. My tips: go through the story mode focusing on increasing the stats on the 1st weapon (power&speed) as well as defense in skills. After a couple of levels increasing immortality time helps for the bosses. And a couple of times the diamond magnet. I always played with the 1st gun only, with the rocket launcher for chainsaws and one of the later bosses. I picked up as many hearts/red diamonds as possible on the way (75% of them) then did the rest once the story was done. Next step is to spend 30min on the tadpole to get enough diamonds to fully upgrade the skills 1st gun and rocket launcher. Using the 1st gun for the race worked fine for the badge. For the escape, same gun with focus on destroying everything that shoots bullets at me or horizontally, then quickly move up and so on. Finally the boss run is much easier with the fully upgraded rocket launcher. Apart from the last 2 bosses it's very possible to progress to the next one with 0-3 hearts lost.
