I think I picked the Paladin or something and got annihilated. Gotta be honest, this kind of turned me off. I'll scan the comments for what to pick, by why should I have to, you know? First impressions matter and I think this one needs work in that department. However, this seems to be getting a lot of praise so I'm guessing there is more to it than I got to prior to my getting frustrated. Once this game gets badges I'll have a bit more incentive to come back and give it a deeper look-see. On the surface though, it certainly is catchy.
Bad dialog, bad voice acting, bad story. Mechanics are solid if not ripped off, graphics are fine and not too overdone. You have a solid game core here, but it needs a good ole fashioned polishing. But you'll never read this because I offered constructive criticism which will get this comment negged into oblivion by fanboys. Good day.
You absolutely can NOT play this game "while doing your homework, checking your email and watching youtube videos". If you aren't looking at the screen with your browser, the game pauses. While I type this, the game is active, but is paused because I had to scroll down to type this. To make an idle game not let you truly idle is a disgrace. That said, it is probably the most interesting idle game I've seen, but this is a huge error by the developer that needs to be corrected.
The difference between the speed of moving forward and backward is off-putting. The smoke is annoying as all hell. That being said, you have a good game here, just needs a little more.
It seems that 'bouncing' off the edge of the bubble arenas will negate any guns placed near the back of your tank, as they are now sort of considered 'out of bounds'. This may very well be intentional but it led me to make my tanks have all their guns up front to avoid having them go out of bounds...with a long tail to help cushion some of that 'bounce' I mentioned. Overall though, pretty fun.
Bug Found --> Endless Defense Mode: I was on level 21 with a fully upgraded SCAR-L. After the first clip I fired, I could reload and it would play the animation and sounds, but after that my clip would still be empty. Reloading several times did not fix it. Moving out of the firing range and/or off the screen did not fix it. Also, just in case it matters, my Grenade had been fired, but not on that level (much earlier in fact). Otherwise, pretty fun game, needs more levels though. =)
Just about the most basic and middle-of-the-road TD game I've ever played. Now, this can actually be considered somewhat of a compliment as there are a TON of really bad TD games out there. This one is neither bad...nor good. The sound effects are painful, the graphics are very 'meh', and the balance needs a little work. But all in all, if you feel like wasting a bit of time with a decent little run-of-the-mill TD game, this game at least delivers that much.
The entire game is based around if the Steel Longsword is in the shop when you load a new game or not, and if the game lets you have potions and the heal spell. If not on all three, you will not get past level 25ish...but if so, congrats, no challenge at all! Really, REALLY stupid mechanic.
