Level 10 needing juggling (juggling sucks, btw), no way to inspect my enemy, no way to cancel a tower build, no easy (click on nothing) way to cancel my current selection, no way to tell my towers what to shoot at.
You'd think I'd give this a 1/5, but actually, these are only the reasons I give it 4/5 instead of 5/5. I'd like to see you make a sequel of this same game...but more polished. I'd be all over it like the pope on rice.
Since it's got a lot of hate lately because people are WAY too PC, I just wanted to say that is one of my favorite games on Kong. IIRC, it has the first two (and still my two rarest) Hard Badges I ever earned. Much love.
What the hell. It's like my mouse doesn't even work. How you control that catapult is beyond me. I've clicked every pixel of the game with no effect (except the quit button works for some reason) and no arrows or wasd or nothing seems to control the catapult. The only thing I've found that works is to click off the game-screen, which stops the catapult, then I click back on the game-screen and the catapult starts again, this time aimed at a different place...but that place seems random and to have no relevance to anywhere I clicked. Buggy.
Didn't like the first one, don't like this one. Scrolling shooters are some of my favorite games too. I think it's a combination of the busy screen, negative powerups in the middle of said busy screen, and the keyboard controls.
Fun game. Not being able to go backwards is awkward, took some getting used to. Also, at later levels it seems using your shields is pretty much the only option less you die withing a second or two. To contrast that I felt as though there should be a mechanic to upgrade your ship's toughness in some way so I can actually use all the cool toys instead of just the shield and the main laser. Still fun though, 4/5.
I've found two builds. Both get me all Gold except for one level. On one build, I miss gold on level 3-1, on the other build I miss level 3-2. Interestingly, I've found a build that gets me gold on both of those levels, but it means I have to settle for Bronze or Silver on some earlier levels. For the life of me I cannot get Gold on all levels, and god knows I've tried.
For the record, get the first level one Plasma early, then forget about it. It seems only to be a balance of Darts vs Missiles.
On second thought... I just got to a point where I can keep my guy airborne forever by clicking Ninjas and kicking the businessman every 5th Ninja. Got to over a million in distance and finally just let him drop out of boredom.
Haha. Super fun game. Took a bit to really understand what the hell was going on but really fun. One nitpick, the hitbox for clicking on the ninjas seems.... wonky. I know I felt gypped a few times.
