Did finally beat Boss level 8. Key was a hyrid build that deployed shielded Bomb Racks to strike their autocannons and to quickly mass produce my corvettes w/Saphhires+Freeze Rounds +3x carrier racks.
In regard to Pincer, something besides bosses should be highly challenging. i say leave them
Any hints on defeating the red boss on level 8? Seems I have to be able to take on 3 Caps/2meds to my 1 Cap/1Med. Tried alternate tactics with fighters and/or lasers. Can't seem to even break into his zone. Tried a Corvette/Carrier rush with cold...that worked best but only delayed the inevitable.
A nice little feature would be able to have the option to sell a reward upon receipt. The majority of the time, they aren't useful (after you've progressed through the game a bit). Granted it's just a few more clicks and not a big deal, but it'd (probably) be easy to add too.
It'd be helpful if we could see our own cloaked ships/turrets. Perhaps with a different color or indicator (though you can see the outline on very bright backgrounds like the sun)
A little thinking to how we can craft ships.
Let’s say you can reroll/upgrade any ship that you want, but the initial rating is permanent (so green for 1 mod, blue for 2, and 3 for red). They you could opt to keep mods prior to rerolling (for the same price of an upgrade 750 per or maybe even double for the 2nd). Then all remaining abilities would reroll. This would allow people to progress their ships, but at a higher expense rate and not totally relying on Random numbers.
Now you could opt to keep the keep stat permanent and only pay once, but I feel with the game as it is, you should pay each time you reroll (examples below due to character limit)
Example 1. I have a red ship with 20% fire rate, force rounds and piranha hangar. I want to just keep the 20% fire rate and reroll the other 2. I pay 750 for upgrade and 750 to keep the 20% fire rate for a total of 1500 and I get 2 new randomly rolled stats.
Example 2. I have a red ship with 20% fire rate, cloaking module and insurance. I want to keep the with 20% fire rate , cloaking module and reroll the third. I pay 750 for the upgrade, 750 to keep 20% fire rate, 750 to keep cloaking module (or 1500 for method 2) for a grand total of 2250 (or 3000) and I get 1 randomly rolled stat.
Love the simplicity and complexity of the game. One request I have, change the scroll of mapping to one that shows monster locations. While knowing the boundaries is nice, I'd prefer to wipe out every critter before going to the next stage.
Word of Warning on the spell, "Teleport Away". I used this on Act 1, level 7 (final act) on a Lieutenant and I believe he was moved into the space with the final boss. Which caused a conflict as I needed his 2nd key :)
I'm determined to figure out this game. The first group through I can do fairly well. After that, I basically get my butt handed to me. there never seems to be any upgrade to equipment, despite my attempts to upgrade the emporium.
Seems damage scales very quickly and I usually have 2 deaths by the end of the second round of play (and this is with using some assignments to endurance).
But, who wants a game that you can roll over, so I accept the challenge.

Spoiler Build: Had to suicide as I had other things to do (it took 12 creatures 57 seconds to kill me with my gear/no attacking by me). I used a Vampire/Cursed with epic/devastating titles. the necessary trick is to keep your ice resists at 100% to avoid damage by the charging berserkers. the rest was keeping my other resists at 75% with the highest defense I could get. for levels, I put 3 into strength, 1 into willpower. By level 55 I was using a fish to go into the middle of the treasure room and kill everything and grabs loads of dropped loot. Before quitting I was doing 26k damage and healing myself for 4k. Love the game.

Sorry, the lack of a save feature inhibits me giving this any stars right now. It's fun (the new update needs to be balanced), but I had to go after 60 levels, 61 attack and 22k gold. All gone now and I'm not sure I want to come back to do that all over again without a save feature. And, I tried the file renaming, but the instructions are either not working or lacking direction, like when to make the file change.
4waytri- It's connectign and loading for me, but something has happened the last couple of days where the processing speed is incredinly slow. I haven't changed any browser settings, but there's a conflict in there somewhere.
Can we get a trade of crafting supplies for gold and or WB? I'd like to trade the generators, for example, at rate 250 generators = 1 WB or some amount of gold?
