THey spent tons of time on the appearance and smoothness, and about 12 seconds on the notes themselves. They're incredibly far off from the actual notes in teh music. Its terrible. Like 1/16 measure off, which completely throws me
combo-ing cannons and soldiers is extremely effective. throw in a mage here and there IF needed, but focus your skills on cannons and soldiers. works for me
i LOVE the feel of this game. it's dark and creepy, but fun an energetic. and theres the element of nostalgia with the mario and FF music. did I hear castlevania? Im not sure..
I think I've figured out the basic strategy behind this. it's allowed me to beat every level.
Basically, you want to create "hot spots" where you deal most of your damage. most maps have 1 or 2 of these that you can easily focus on. These are usually strips 3-4 squares long where most units will be forced to pass through.
You want to have 1 Slowing Tree in the middle or beginning of it, and as many Piercing Trees as possible so that bullets will be hitting as many enemies as possible. Using Ice or Stone spells will further allow you to pull off as many hits as possible in a small space of time.
If Piercing Trees are unavailable, use Area Burst Trees. If THOSE are unavailable, use Basic Trees.
Pink Trees are extremely costly and very slow, and should only be used near the center of the map when you can comfortably afford them. Their huge range allows them to hit enemies in your hot spot without taking up precious space around them.
i beat this when it first came out. I constantly go back and play it, its such a good game. I've never seen a flash game that could possibly evoke any emotion in me before lol, but this one really is touching. Its good to see at least some people still understand what real storylines are
i absolutely hate when an 8-bit game has 32-bit graphics mixed into it. it completely ruins the retro feel of it and just makes it look crappy. aside from that, this is pretty good
This is good. I was expecting another super-user-friendly, run of the mill TD, but this wasn't. It's really simple, but has a clever schematic and difficulty high enough to keep me entertained from start to finish
i love this game! I would like the difficulty to be a bit higher though. Its too easy to completely dominate a map in 15 minutes. albeit extremely fun.
5/5 definitely
