Its just a naming convention, instead of that being an experience bar it could be a progress bar for a dungeon or a kill monster count, an experience bar fits better and also limonade stands on Adventure Capitalist are not bought by themselves...
I dunno ... following the advice of long shallow hills and valleys,got the hard badge first attempt (hitting gates and tunnels, wih no jumps, got the multiplier into the 100s before missing one.
god, its been a long time since I played this ... got all the badges back in 2010, and haven't been back since. Although, gotta say, it's nice to have a BoTD that isn't a 5-pointer - they should make more of them medium or hard badges - or even the occasional impossible *evil* :D
4th attempt ... the gme loads, but on clicking the "like on faccebook" button, I get a black screen followed by a fatal error ...

every time i try to play, it comes up with a "weekly maintenance error"... have tried about a dozen times over the past week, and got that each time. rated 1/5 for a game-breaking bug.

The cooldown is there to balance the game out. You can upgrade your selling efficiency in the store which allows you to sell more items in one go.
