Was fun for a small amount of time and I love upgrades but I just couldn't get into it because there was such a lack of variety in upgrades. 1 bullet -> big bullet -> bigger bullet, for all 8 guns. I'd prefer a choice for things like homing, double bullets, rapid bullets. These are not unique enhancements, but i think they are the start of what this game could've been.
yeah it could really do with some more upgrade and weapon variety. I was bogged down with getting basic stuff to work on this one, so I released it as it was before my enthusiasm wore off entirely! Next time I should be able to focus a bit more on those little extras.
Really enjoyable game but I felt like this wasn't an improvement from previous nerdook games and it was also a buzzkill that many of the weapons and upgrades were useless because of the lack of variety that was needed to win every level. Note that I hate games where there is only 1 strategy or method that wins a level, the gap in power between drones and every other ability in this game is too far.
Awesome game with tons of replay value, but I got a trade value of 570 or so and easily cleared the arcade score of 15 but my scores aren't updating for achievements.
I just don't like that increasing the speed of your frostbolt means that you can drain your mana out by itself, and then other spells are significant to survival as well...
Awesome game with good use of humor between the ending and the moobs. Excellent gameplay. I didn't even realize the awards were giving me bonuses until I beat the game. My only complaint is more of a correction than a complaint but the award for reaching 88mph increases your max speed... but since the effect takes place instantly when you do it, your speed is technically NEVER capped at 88mph, but is always 100. You did not fool me this time sir.
Great game, mostly because it takes all the best aspects of Gemcraft TD to another good game series. Although it is a ton of fun, I feel there is significantly less strategy involved then a game like Gemcraft because even with all of the same general concepts, the difference from one tower to the next is not significant and the perks of leveling them in the middle of a battle fall very short. No perks are really worth the 400 gold they cost, and guard towers and ward towers are just clearly weaker than the rangers and wizards. That said, 4/5
I dislike that this is one big advertisement, but it was addicting for the 8 minutes it took. wish it was a little longer, and that the strategy wasn't spacespace and wait.
As far as the game, it is terrific and fun but in comparison to the older game that had the upgradable perks and weapons, this one is far less expansive it seems. At the very most there is the same amount of material in this game as in the last, which is a buzz kill. I liked the variety but much more was removed than was added. Then as far the the premium goes, I won't complain that its there because I would never spend money on any of the games on this website because they aren't big enough games. I see nothing wrong with it, but don't believe there is enough premium for the price of it. Overall, this is a kongregate gem, but it is definitely missing a "wow" factor.
No matter how many upgrades you get it is still more likely than not that your run will end before hitting the ground because of some type of obstacle, so it's pointless to try to upgrade by playing more.
Was fun for 15 minutes and that is even pushing it. It was a 5/5 for the 1st 10 minutes but then wen I realized that the power ups made it too easy the game was just click mouse and spin. If there was more difficulty, upgrades, balancing, and keeping the upgrades, I would have enjoyed this.
To agree with what many other players have said, none of the updates have taken effect in this version as said. I am not sure if the developer pays any attention to this game still, but this is the first time i've seen the game and I LOVED it. It is very unique, all the units vary enough to make them interesting, and the game overall is very well done. My only suggestion on top of the above though would make to make damage output more clear in some way. When I put 10 guys out there and all of them are taking and giving damage while I'm activating 12 skills at the same time, I have no idea who is doing damage where until I get to the stat screen. I would love to see more games like this though. Awesome job.
There is nothing to this game. Cool concept, monster keeps gaining abilities, but I could've gotten as much entertainment if the game designer told me he was making a game with this concept.
Game was insanely fun but also insanely easy which is why it won't get out a 5/5. I bought the 2 money upgrades before the 1st boss and the final gun was my 3rd gun. There was no motivation but achievements to continue buying items and after beating the game I didn't care to use my 2 new characters or the 2 unused ones.
I don't get the castle levels. So no matter how many units i get I can only attack with 3 while the enemy can use all of his? Either way, its just a long, brutally easy, time consuming task.
