I'm amazed by how well this guy can make games. Truly impressive. And it says he's 18. That's even more remarkable when you take into account the Copyright of 2003. That would make him... what... 12 when he made this game. Outstanding.
You know, if you're going to steal a game, at least steal a good one.
Sheesh, what a bunch of blow-hards. This is a pretty good game with some interesting play. I agree, it's not overly difficult, and I didn't like the fact that the enemies kept spawning even after I destroyed the thing that's supposed to spawn them... but all that aside, a pretty good game. (And it's free.... stop whining.)
It's an easy game on easy, only a couple of rooms gave me pause, but I'm unwilling to spend that much time on going through the whole thing again on a different level of difficulty.
Interesting concept. I will say I was disappointed with the "sprite" interaction. Find some better dialogue for them. You work hard at creating a realistic environment with believable dialogue, and then you introduce the sprites who are willing to help you for "$50... no pockets... because the Ned's mother is ugly." Didn't really fit with the story line. Keep it simpe and believable and you'll have a game worth playing the sequel.
really slow game without much explanation. One second you have plenty of energy, the next you can't fire your gun with absolutely no warning or build up. Then you manage to wade through the poor graphics and play and you find out that it's a demo and you'll have to start over to finish. (I know, sounds like the guy who complains about how bad the food at some restaraunt is and then complains that they don't give you enough either.)
Not a bad start, but I think the premise is a little off. It seems to me that you should limit the light of the flashlight to right around your character. Otherwise it's just a matter of figuring out where to go with your flashlight and then moving there. Plus, there's the fact that you shouldn't be able to use your flashlight that far away from you and around walls.
I think I can say with some degree of certainty that this is not the Ultimate Karate Duel. Perhaps it would be better to simply name it Karate Duel, and avoid raising the expectations of those who play the game.
A very nice game. However, when you start getting to the higher levels (25+) it really starts lagging. Makes it difficult to manuever. Takes some of the fun out of it.
Couple of notes:
Slow the cut screens down. I'm a fast reader, but sheesh... I missed half the story.
Second: Get someone to translate this into English for you. You've spent a large amount of time on this and it deserves to be seen in a way that is inteligible.
Third: Give us a chance to solve the mystery. Just figuring it out at the end isn't very rewarding. Especially after I had started to develope my own theory of the case. You give us tons of clues, but then they are really relatively unimportant.
