Review: Story - 6/10. The dog wants to go for a walk, but shortly thereafter straps on a jetpack. That is where the story really picks up, but I don't want to spoil it for you, just say it rivals the death of Aeris from FF7. Graphics 10/10 - What can i say, I love teeny tiny screens. Beautiful. Controls - 7/10. I found the controls a little complex and clunky. Sometimes I would click the mouse a little and Cooper would jump a little too much. Dev - get on this. Music - 9./10. Who doesn't love Irish Bluegrass Clog Dancing Music? And who doesn't love it played on a loop?!?
GRUNT: Commander! The enemy has taken another planet and activated the atmospheric shield! COMMANDER: Launch half our forces! GRUNT: Sir, didn't you hear me? They activated the shield? It would be suicide! COMMANDER: ITS A GOOD DAY TO DIE!! FIRE!!!
Hint: steal from enemies more than once. Many times enemies have three possible items you can get. If you steal three times you are practically guaranteed a crystal!
No instructions, no direction, no text, no way to figure out what to do other than get my face mauled off by a bear trap, no way to get the key from the bathroom. No way to hold my interest long enough to figure it out. No thanks.
This game SHOULD be great, but it is pretty obvious it was never playtested all the way through. I beat the third stage at about level 26. At about level 35 I had reached 12000+ M in survival. Then I get tasks such as, collect 30 support items, beat any 6 stages, beat any 6 bosses... really? REALLY? The slow down, the fact that I can't see my guy half the time, the fact that I can't control weapons... but still 3.5/5 because it COULD be so great so a lower score than it deserves. If you want more feedback dev. please feel free to PM me. Thanks
Mini-walkthrough. (1) You will need the 'Gathering' tree maxed to build the palace in the end, so start by focusing on that. (2) For first 30-40 turns or so, focus completely on food and population. More food = more population. (3) Turns 30-60 keep focusing on food, but work in fire/religion and stone gradually over the turns. 60-90 Half of all population increase to gathering food - half to stone. Work in hunting - or fishing. Fishing gives you more food but hunting gives you defense bonuses. I won with fishing and moved 100% food production there. By turn 80, you want to be at 1K stone/turn.
k will see what i can do
