Armor piercing or quickdraw trinkets are potent. Ice arrow or raise dead spell to clog up the bad guys, then spam regular arrows. I kept shooting into my own bone and rock walls, so I preferred ice.
You can also Contra code with "contra" if it is your 99th/final achievement... Stalagmite => impale yourself in pit from ceiling using down arrow. Speedy downfall => from ceiling down veer right to floor.
In the later stores you can spend 500 to buy White Egg or the Blue Eggs for XP, Autoheal, MaxHP, Freeze, Regen, Counter, or Burn (there are 27 reachable shops that sell items).
Unfortunately ideal Golden Eggs are: Critical x1 (for the point Minotaur), Drain x1 (to keep funding your Counterban spells), Action x4 (for other Battering Rams and Bombirds and Minotaurs). Attack and Extra Magic are also handy.
party died and i reloaded, looks like i get to keep some of the bounty i found after i last saved, and my party is full of hirelings i bought after the last save ... but they're dead!
To be clear, the computer AI is so incredibly BAD that you can win with a 5-color deck. Or probably even a Highlander deck (no more than one copy of any card) {off to test this}
whatever - 5xScyth Elite 5xJ'Ardan 3xBattle Cry also coasts through all challenges - almost any 8-13 card deck that can start with Elite; Jardan; Elite-Elite; Jardan-Elite; BattleCry-BattleCry etc. etc.
shadowskiller:
Blue overpowered? Just not true. (Try this red deck: 5x J'Ardan 5x Scythian Elite 3x Battle Cry.) Blue is the green of mytheria - tons of great creatures, but horribly weak at control/removal (e.g. pay UU to destroy all modifiers in play, or UUU for 2 temporary damage).
While Hive Mind is strong, the X9 is easily destroyed by Disintegrate (BB) or Ward of Light (3life) or other creature removal. A 5-Sentry for UUUU and a 2-Unblockable for UUU are bigger threats...
Ellye - An 8 card deck (by which you mean an opening hand of 7 and nothing else) isn't optimal. A deck with lots of creature destruction holds off your initial onslaught, after which, ... you have nothing left.
A deck of ~15 cards, on the other hand...
Hey! Why can't I stay alive by "not drawing" after I'm at zero cards... Apparently I lose when my turn starts, even tho I wanted to increase my power instead of drawing...
Computer AI is inconceivably stupid.
Tarjan summoned a Solarian Archer (NoBlock), refused to attack with it (even though it can't block), then proceeded to cast 3 Loyalties on it (gives Assist, even though it can't block). Tarjan used up all its cards without damaging me... hard to figure out how it could have played worse.
