Forgot to add in my previous comment, I really like that the big monsters aren't the last battle of the wave so you can actually spend the money you get for killing them.
LOVE the graphics! Aside from what's been suggested here regarding the upgrades, I would also like to see a speed up button, and the time it takes your soldiers to climb down is annoying. I love the fact that when you tell your hero to attack a specific target he doesn't stop to kill everything in between, that's great! However, his pathing does need some work, particularly when he gets lost trying to climb the monster. Not quite sure what the purpose is of being able to select individual people on the towers, makes it a huge pain to select the tower for upgrade. The targeting is weird. It doesn't do lowest hit points or closest to goal, maybe highest or strongest? If you're not going to have default closest to goal you might want to put in where the player can decide. Also, the 11th stage is proving to be somewhat impossible to get a perfect on. Hopefully you haven't made it where you MUST buy the Premium Content to do so. Anyway, overall love the game, look forward to seeing more!
Thanks for the mini review! We're taking notes. Regarding the premium content, the game & level design is already finished before we started making the premium content. So, it doesn't require premium content to finish the game. It's possible that we've just failed in perfecting the difficulty on that particular level. I have made several games so far, and to be honest, I still find it difficult to achieve that perfect difficulty/balance. Thanks! Hope you could enjoy the rest of the game.
The mechanics take a bit of getting used to, but that's not a bad thing! I love the animations, and the new take on the Kingdom Rush genre of TD games. From the complaints, I thought one had to mouse over ALL fruit (fruit being the currency) and was pleasantly surprised to discover it's just for special drops, which I do not mind at all. I like that you actually have the opportunity to get all of the upgrades, too, and it's not just a straightforward "I have a million coins, I'll upgrade everything". Little things, maybe, but they have made this a surefire 4/5.
the first version kinda needed to take the fruits manually, with the help from kongregate community we remove that fruit picking feature and change it to special drops only, so yeah thanks for the community for giving us such great advice too :)
thanks for playing man~
Fun game, but when I realized I'd have to keep demolishing three star facilities in order to put in more useless plants I gave up on it. 120 plants? Really? Still 4/5.
The reward for having a lodge room should at least cover the expense of the lodge room, right? It's a thousand dollars less than the cost of the room. Not much of a reward.
If you're going to steal games to post on Kong, you could at least make sure they're in English and, you know, work. I swear, thieves are getting lazier and lazier these days.
Not rating as I think it has a lot of potential as a really interesting hybrid concept. But yes, it is still very clunky and a bit nonsensical. Favorited in hopes of seeing some updates.
