Just did another run through. Very nice. No glitches or hiccups, very smooth! Of course...that's for the game. I cannot say so much for the player. *sigh* I keep forgetting to do junk.
I think I can see why some people aren't sticking around to actually play the game and give it an appropriate rating. The loading does take a really long time, and it seems like it hangs. Also, the opening is quite long, then you have to go through the dialogue once you get to the base. Then more dialogue. Then you scout something. Then you have more dialogue. Then you secure it. Then you have MORE dialogue. It's cute, and I'd like to play it, but between the dialogue and no option to have Auto-Pick on until I turn it off, I'm already somewhat annoyed.
Sadly, I agree completely. What I was planning was making a game with lots of content, game-wise and story-wise. The game was supposed to be more than just a casual game. I wanted the story, music and gameplay to be memorable. But, as you can tell, the too-much-content kinda backfired on me.
Was having a good time with it until the Invasion/Three levels. Unless you go back and grind to get the specials it's impossible. Drops the rating from 5 to 3.
It is possible. Maybe too hard, yes. But maps were designed to be hard without Active skills, but beatable. I`ll nerf enemies then and add more $ for winning levels in update.
Production issue seems to be solved! Yay! New not sure if it's a bug or not. I sent some probes, scouts, and fighters to a salvage point, was told they found cruisers, and then the fleet icon turned red and I lost control of them. Nothing in the log to say they encountered the enemy and were destroyed. They no longer show up on my fleet record. Not a debilitating or game ending thing, just puzzling.
@Xephan - the tech is planet specific and cannot stack across planets, and all buildings should be able to be constructed on all planets. What buildings are you having problems with?
Was glad to come back and play with the new improvements that have been added, but my shipyard just stopped producing the fighters I have in queue although it will build any other ship I click, and I can't cancel them either. Not sure if this is a glitch or intent.
Fun game, but the troop and deploy troop selection is spotty at best. I'd have them all selected and click and they'd just stand there. Aside from that, it's still a 4/5!
Fun game, but I would like to see a bit more of the works of the artists you chat with, and maybe something to get non-Realism paintings accepted at the Salon. It was a highly charged political atmosphere in the painting world, it would be great if some of that made it into the game!
