Fun game! Want moar! No real complaints other than a little storyline to go with it and as others have said, maybe some upgrades to add replayability and so forth.
Wow, yeah, the play screen is insanely small. Also, you say the idea of a heart instead of a house and so forth never "hit you" too much, but with the description of the game, the map is entirely nonsensical. The germs have mutated into giant multicellular organisms of death that require cannons to kill them or they'll make you sick? What?
Dangit, posted to quickly. The range doesn't match up, either. I've got dudes zooming through areas that according to the little circles, should be getting zapped.
Excellent game. While I realize that the monochromatic and sparseness of the environment adds to the bleak atmosphere, a little more door recognizability would be nice. So many of them are the same, I kept wandering around trying to find where I was supposed to go. ;) Still, that's just a very, very small thing. Incredibly written, very surreal. I enjoyed playing it and would like to see more like this from you. 5/5
You need to make your idea a bit more cohesive, it's all a bit vague. The concept of the game is kind of...blah. Randomizing where the souls come from will help. Also, Kong gives you the chance to put the instructions for how to play the game under your description for a REASON.
Game needs to pause at the beginning so you can get your towers set up, the upgrade limit is highly frustrating, all in all, I found it highly annoying.
Nice little game, but not seeing anything really new or innovative. The addition of being able to upgrade towers (as others have said) and being able to advance to the next level WITHOUT having to go back to the main menu would be nice. 3/5 Average game.
Okay, why is it when I click to gather resources, my "resources spent" mysteriously goes up? I haven't even spent them yet. It's making getting the achievement on 17 impossible. Selling them makes it go up, AND it lags on the amount gained.
jamuspsi, I FINALLY beat 16 with this method: I put mini-reactors in all the spaces that the baddies can pass through, and a laser at the end of the top (first) row. A rocket and cannon in the second. Upgraded all three to max. Cryo in the remaining space in the top row. Cannons in every other available space, upgrading as much as possible. That finally did it. Hope it works for you!
Since your resources are so limited, being able to move the towers around would be exceptionally helpful. Having the text pop up during combat while you're trying to collect resources and place towers is also a pain, have the game autopause or something when it comes up. A lot of times by the time I get to read it, it's gone. Agreed with the other poster about a healthbar for your reactor, and also instead of new reactor towers, how about being able to upgrade the main reactor for additional resource capacity? The enemy path blocked warning coming up before the bad guys are straight targeting your reactor would be awesome, as you cannot move towers. I do like the counter that keeps track of how much you've spent, and the overall gameplay is well done. I had fun playing, and would like to see more of it. 3/5
Need to keep the "messaging" short and to the point. tl;dr Controls are very clunky, back and forth between mouse and keyboard, no using the mouse on the borders to move the screen, key + mouse, two keys, etc. For me, the only thing I like to use my keyboard for in an RTS is hotkeying, but that's a personal preference. No rating, will check back later.
Would have been lovely if the massive update had fixed the massive targeting issue with ghosts. New towers, maps, and beasties are nice, but without fixing that huge problem, it makes the maps with ghosts very frustrating. Is your definition of hard "crap just not working the way the game mechanics say they should"?
