So, I think the most confusing part of this was that it's a Bonte game with more than 30 levels.... I can't recall Bart ever having gone that far before...
Thumbs down to the spikes. Chasing the bubble off screen is an issue, but killing the bubble with no reward isn't the solution. Not when the bubble's are rarely worth enough to justify the chase til they near the top...
What is up with these controls? J or left click? Why bother with arrow key controls if you're not going to map a left hand attack button, too? My game keeps losing focus because all I have is a touchpad and a j key, and the tap response on the touchpad isn't accurate enough to attack, but it sure is accurate enough that my wrist keeps hitting it while I mash the j key....
Gotta give serious credit to the lab assistants who built these things so precisely that a stack of balls is always centered and upright bouncing away in its tube like that.... Good job, kids.
A fun thing to put in your game is a ton of gotcha moments where the player had no way to plan for it, and has to start the level over again because of cheap traps. That flying elephant being the worst offender, as far into the game as I managed to trudge. The off-screen landings on some of the jumps with enemies in waiting was pretty awesome, too.
I get that it's supposed to be hard, moving toward impossible, but it just starts at impossible with a touchpad. Keyboard controls would be a nice addition, or take away the need to click and drag, and simply follow the mouse cursor once it has focus on a given choice, to at least create the illusion of hope...
Been another 5 or 6 hours with nothing to do, not even able to buy a single upgrade. I'm gonna leave it on while I sleep, because I'm committed (or maybe because I need to BE committed!) to finishing this thing, but it's not looking like you've got any semblance of balance in this title.
Interesting for a while, but it slows down SOOOOOO much in the higher tiers. I've been letting it run with purebred T-9s for about 4 hours now, and haven't got a single mutation out of them. I know it's an idle game, but NOTHING is happening while I'm idling. Not to mention, I've got all this gold that doesn't do crap, 'cause I'm selling several pricey clovers a second for nothing.
I can really relate to this protagonist. People used to refer to me as "it" all the time, and every time I have a dream and falter just a tiny bit, I fall flat on my face and have to start over, oftentimes from square one. And I, too, dream of one day garnering the same respect and power as a mediocre white guy at the top of the game.
I found the autofire button after writing that comment. It's very not obvious. Can't even seen what it says without clicking it, and near as I can tell, there's no mention of it in game or in the description...
Thanks for report. Yep, it's an issue, will try to fix it on next update.
