Are there any TD games that don't do that "one round you're doing alright, the next you're slammed" thing? It's not fun nor funny. What's wrong with some sort of progression? Just keep it at a level that goes with the money, that's all. Test this stuff! Level 25? Doing alright, let one through, measured out what I could do to stop it, built some upgrades and a few more "wall" towers, etc... Level 26? Slammed with two different kinds of units, one fast, one slow moving, ran through my maze like even the maxed level towers weren't hurting them. Complete wipe on a single level, fantastic.
Archer towers don't actually seem to do... anything, at all. The towers appear, but nothing happens, no archers on them, no slits with arrows coming out of them, no damage to attackers. Very unfinished, but it has some basics that should be interesting if they get fleshed out. 2/5
Boring and slow. Extremely limited game play with just the 3 heroes to start. I know, you unlock more later, but I don't see how that would be any more fun. You set them down, hit go, and walk away. Hope you survive. There's nothing you can do to help them, you can't heal them, you can only move one (the demon hero with the right skill), and if one of them dies that pretty much ends the game. If you're doing so poorly that enough bad guys get to the end and kill him/her, then you're doomed, there's no last minute thing you can do to try to catch up or pull off a last-minute recovery. How this game scored so highly is a mystery. It's a cool environment though, 2/5.
It's like most movie sequels... worse than their predecessors... and it does indeed seem to be stolen. So, 1/5 flagged... if it were the real deal I might give it, oh... 3/5. Maybe.
Really? 2nd "easy" level is supposed to be easy? Just one glance at the map and it's obviously not going to be a picnic, what with the best spots blocked off by stones that cost so much to remove, that if you actually spend it to remove them, you will almost automatically lose because you need every dime for defense. It's a good game, I think, we'll see if I can get past the 2nd freakin' level, then I'll rerate... 2/5 for now (2 for the number of levels, so far). :P I know, stupid reason to rate, but it's really aggravating... I'm usually good at TD games, this is just frustrating.
Mmm, White Castle. None near me, but I'll make a road trip if I win. :D Yeah, so it's a 6hr drive each way, maybe I'll get lucky and run into Neil Patrick Harris on the way. ^.^ The game is... simple. Didn't see any bugs, the difficulty ramps up nicely, the graphics are simple but clean. I have no problems with this kind of game-vertising. White Castle pays Kong for the ad, Kong can pay their ISP bills, and we can all keep playing/chatting on our favorite game site. You nay-sayers need to stop whining, it's a win-win for all. 5/5
It's not a bad game. It can't be too bad, I played through the entire demo and was a little disappointed when it ended, so it can't be too bad, right? I have mixed feelings on demos, but don't really want to find them here. I just downloaded several demos on Steam, which is where I expect to find them. Not on a site with a subtitle of "### online playing ### free games!" 2/5 Lost a couple stars for being a demo.
Ad astra per alia porci. To the stars on the wings of a pig. John Steinbeck. This game does a great deal of disservice to him. Horrible. 1/5 and flagged.
Hmm... did I misread something? One patent sign says patents can last up to 20 years if renewed every year... another says up to 25 years by renewing every 5 years... Which is right? Oh my head! Heh. Good game so far though, I like the way you have freedom to do some puzzles different ways, so you can do them the way you are comfy doing them. 5/5
Finally finished it. Fantastic game. I hate cliffhangers too, but it definitely makes me want the next one. It was definitely too hard to do without the walkthrough though, several things made no sense at all and I hate counter-intuitive point'n'clicks. For that I'd usually give a 3/5, but ... *most* of it was pretty intuitive if you really put your brain to it. I'll give it a 4/5 just for the cool story and well done animations and scripting.
Interesting... after beating mission 11 it went all black and froze... anyone else have this issue? I hope it still registers the win and unlocks mission 12 when I reload...
Not bad. Arcade mode feels kinda like just one 8-level tutorial, with no real meat in it. Survival mode needs some tweaking, for instance: If the waves are going to get harder, then you should get more ore per wave. Perhaps an extra 10/wave (i.e. 100 on the 1st wave, 110 on the 2nd, 120 on the 3rd, etc.). This could be bolstered even further with research into refinement. Controls are a little kludgy, sometimes taking an extra second to react when I click something, sometimes not at all. Could've been worse though. Not bad for a Flash RTS. 4/5
There seems to be a bug... while trying to fire my damage suddenly becomes 0 and the 0's appear directly in front of my gun (as if I'm hitting an invisible, invincible barrier), this persists on and off until I die (unable to shoot anything). Extremely annoying.
I'd really love to have seen better in-game information/help on the various parts. On the 3rd level are two new items "Select!" and "Input!", neither of which are explained anywhere that I can find. I'd assume they'd be on the page with the [?], but they're not. I figured them out, but maybe just a little popup when you hover over them or something? Otherwise, it's a nicely done puzzle game. Definitely puts the mind to work. 5/5
Arguably the easiest medium badge ever. Was this some sort of "gimme" to the community? Exceedingly boring. Got the badge and don't have any inclination to play again. The hit zones around dogs are terrible. I was behind a bigger dog, walking away from him, he was walking the other way, and I got "hit" from at least 20 pixels away. Bad, bad game. I give it a star for being at least fairly simple. I 100% suggest switching to the mouse controls though. 2/5
