The game still has many of the severe flaws as the previous games in the series. It has improved the inventory, but still has problems with ridiculously small ammo capacities. There is still no way to de-select troopers rather than completing their individual turns.
Your characters is one-hit-kill, only 2 upgrades are permanent, and the others just affect what you find in the levels.
Its a nice idea, but high difficulty and not worth grinding for upgrades which is highly disappointing.
Too much of the equipment have severe handicaps. Armor provides protection, but also limits how many attacks you can make so badly its hard to take anything out before they fire back. Headgear provide accuracy penalties, which is something you currently cannot counter-balance as there is no way to boost accuracy. Extra pack slots also limit your movement/attack options and generally speaking just carry extra ammo. At the least there needs to be something for those equipment slots that dont have penalties, like the first armor gives a 20% bullet protection and doesnt limit your actions.
I think experience and skills should be added. Passive skills that increase accuracy, action points, health points, carry double ammo per lot. Special skill to allow units to shoot point-blank instead of melee. Units should share equipment inventories, so that you can swap weapons and items in slots. When you start, 1 unit has 4 reusable grenades, but nobody else has anything special.
This game is incredibly difficult because LUCK is the most important thing. You can can be one-shot by a critical or not hit anything, and there is no way to increase your accuracy, only cross your fingers. Each time you lose you get sent back to the first opponent, but at least you dont lose your 3 upgrades.
This game didnt learn anything from the previous installments. There are no numerical values on stats, so its vaguely "this is better than that, kinda". There are no visible meters for the Charge or Faction Special powers. There are also just too many lanes, so its become really vague without a highlight, and terrain features allow units to switch attack lanes.
This is basically the first game but its got a major improvement now as losing doesnt result in loss of progress and upgrades. Unfortunately there isnt that much to do. There arent alot of upgrades to get and each mission is the same map.
the inventory system needs alot of work. carrying extra ammo, not losing weapons by dropping them in missions, acquiring weapons by completing missions instead of keeping them at the end, etc. also the enemies shouldnt get stronger is early missions by making your soldiers better. Its messed up that you can have super enemies in early missions just by playing levels.
The lack of repeatable battles means its not possible to get necessary upgrades so every battle is very risky and everything has to be completed in one go.
While its a good game, there isnt much balance on the units. Each unit has some specialty but theyre generally TOO specialized lacking any ability besides a specific area. There are too many units that just get brushed over for a few well-rounded or just high level units. Ranged units of any kind are particularly because you cant tell them to stay back and shoot. Really you can just keep spamming Scout Cavalry and later Heavy Lancers and do just fine. The upgrade system is a heavy focus and its what allows you to fight increasingly difficult opponents some with units you will never get any equivalent of like duel-wielding units. It could be better but also alot worse.
Im encountering problems in the 12th level. to get the 3star rating you have to backtrack to find hidden enemies. If you try that the game fails automatically after a certain distance from the truck. This game is heavily recycled from the second game. the 3rd series of missions are outright ripped from Dead paradise 2.
This doesnt seem as good as Dead Paradise 2. Its really irritating that you have to defend a truck on every mission, and there are only 2 vehicles. the game tries to trick players into playing the previous games by having the locked vehicles as links to the other games. also, why is a tank so easy to destroy by enemies?
This game could be so much more. its a wave defense game. I thought from the thumbnail this might be a Mad Max kind of adventure game. You can sell turrets once you buy them, you cant change the weapons on your car, and you cant add weapons like a rams.
decent game in the vein of Binding of Isaac. the guns dont seem balanced as the machinegun is an all-rounded. the map should change each time you reach a new level and the enemy sprites should change too.
Bad balance as a game. Water is almost impossible to find. Looking for weapons and armor are wastes of time. repetitive actions for no gain just drag the game down and no ability to do multiple actions per click makes this a ridiculous grind. I dont really understand this game as its not really an RPG, but just a countdown to death by dehydration. The only way to actually upgrade your character is using the workout option, but that uses so much energy and water for a small gain that its a terrible option.
kind of an OK game, but not great. Its an arena game so no adventure and no story. upgrades are nice, but only one of the weapons is automatic. This would be much better if it was a zelda-style adventure game while keeping the insect enemies.
because this is more modern than alot of defense games, its a little better, but it still has most of the problems. upgrades should be MUCH more developed and general use like +10% range per level, slowing effects to your towers, etc. lag is a serious problem especially using the "laser"(its electric fool) towers.
