This game has a lot of potential, but it's broken in some many ways that it just isn't fun. The items need a lot of fixing. There are some level which cannot be beaten without an item, and since they're all consumable, I see it as a big problem. At least, you should keep the items you used when you fail/retry a mission. Or, at the very least, you keep the money you collected on a stage when you get busted.
You did a very good job at creating a scary atmosphere. It's not those scary things that just pop out of nowhere and scare you. Those are felt, but they don't instill fear like this game. The cat was in plain sight and it scared the hell out of me. My only complaints are: (1) it's too short, even for a character. The problem with that is not having enough options to try out, which made the game fairly easy; and (2) sometimes you just move way too slow. But don't make the guy walk a lot faster, since it'd ruin the mood. Just a tad bit. Well done!
I was loving this game until I got to levels 7, 8 and 9. They're not hard, they're just annoying. Jumping being so imprecise and once you fall into the pit, you'll have to go all the way back to the checkpoint. I know it may sound like a small issue, but checkpoints should be right BEFORE the pit areas, not right after =/ And waiting for the raddishes and bacons to move is just boring, not hard. I also found some bugs when I went through a wall or floor after being hit. I'd give 5/5 to my experience on the first 6 levels, but the last 3 made me go with a 4/5. Still, great game. Keep it up! =)
Apart from what's been repeatedly asked here, I'd like to see 2 updates: (1) (separated) controls for music and sfx volume. I can almost never hear the music, especially when I get the Thunder Badge. (2) The Daily Missions should be tougher as your rank goes up. It's demotivational to be asked to kill 50 zombies in the forest after you've gotten the 10,000 combo.
Finally got the 10,000 combo! Honestly, you just have to remain focused, and that's hard after half an hour playing. Once your combo is around 2k, it won't get any faster. Wind Scroll is your best friend, since it'll keep your combo going even if you miss a zombie. Also, always activate a SC after getting a WS! After I was around 5k, I fell down a hole and got saved by the cloak. Since I had the WS on, I didn't lose my combo! After that, Flame will make your combo count go up twice as faster, so that's very good. Thunder is nice, too, but the downside to it is that you have to pay attention to the Thunder icon flashing. When in doubt, act as if you don't have it on. Make sure you COMPLETELY IGNORE all GS/Coins/Lucky Cats, since they won't help you at all. And always take the path you're more comfortable with. I often thought "maybe my combo will go up faster if I take that other route", but it really doesn't. All it does is mess with your focus. Remember: slow and steady wins the race!
My advice for new players would be: (1) Invest all your money on Flame until you master it. You're trying to get high combos, since that's what REALLY gives you money in this game. Maybe you can invest a bit on Wind, too, but only if you're not getting money fast enough to get the next Flame upgrade. Make sure you MISS a scroll/lucky cat if you're not confident you'll be able to keep your combo going. Again, high combos are what gets you money. Don't buy Boosters/Cloaks even if they help you complete a mission. (2) Master Wind, if you didn't do that already. (3) Only then you may master your Gold Scroll skill. (4) Lastly, master Thunder, the least useful of those when it comes to combo. (5) Now you may spend your money on unlocking characters (those that cost money). (6) Then, spend all your money on Lucky Cats and you'll have tons of Boosters/Cloaks and will eventually unlock all those characters who need special items. Still, it takes a looong time for Daigo. I hope it helps. =)
I wish I could read all the hints that appears while loading the game. It took me a while to find out that I could interrupt my jump by going down and I've just now read that hint.
