No level select, short & timed levels, not intuitive new mechanics. Meh. Only thing going for this game is cool 8-bit retro music, graphics, and the lame screen static effect.
Excellent job. Just enough 3D on the fox and human to make it interesting without being awkward. Very serene, charming environment. Great control of the fox, with very smooth movement and animation. Interesting for sure... it kept my attention through collecting everything. Praying at an alter is truly an unusual experience that rips you out of the calm environment for a second, so well done. Also, easy to pick up the pace and learn what to do.
Question: what are the "Nothing" and "Squeak" areas for? East eggs? Or do they actually mean something? I've collected all of the mushrooms and journal scraps and returned them to complete the game. Mushroom king! I also kept jump/flying up off the map and then let the fox fall for about 2 minutes, lol. I assume I didn't miss anything else?
Any ways, 5/5! I don't rate games a full 5 very often. :-)
I gave it a 3/5... would have been a 4/5, but the bosses are so ridiculously overpowered. By the time I get past the first boss, I have everything leveled up so much from fighting him over and over again. It's all luck... lame.
lag + lag = fail platformer. What's the point of it being multiplayer and online all the time if most of it is solo? Oh, and did I mention it lags like a snail smoking weed?
Physics in this game suck. Do this test: stay still, then hold left and tap up just once. Then hold right and tap up just once again. Repeat. Notice the craptastic physics.
Hmm. Adding a slow-moving, boring RPG with a rough 2D side-scrolling shooter just doesn't cut it for me. Don't get me wrong, I love RPGs, and I enjoy shooters, but the combination seems really odd. And the dialog is just too boring for me to enjoy it. It's nicely done, but it's just boring.
Who left the door cracked and invited these lame amateur authors into Kongregate? B-rated acting... at best. Did they record this over Ventrilo or Teamspeak? Noob game designers.
There is a level select! Try pressing continue.
