I don't get what the big deal is about mute buttons... don't you guys have volume controls on your computers? Anywise, this game is awesome. Great concept, and well done too.
The game is pretty luck based. Strategy can make a huge difference when you're playing against someone who doesn't really know what they're doing yet, but if both players have a little experience, it basically comes down to the cards you get. A long game often ends with both players accumulating resources faster than they can spend them, and the first player to draw a big card wins.
Look, Mrcreds... I'm not asking this to make fun of you, but because you really worry me, and also out of curiosity: Are you actually so deluded that you think your games are good, or is this all one big, elaborate practical joke? Either way, I fear for your mental health. Go out into the real world and get some serious help. I mean it.
I've played a few of these "make your own music" games, but this one is awesome because you can actually control the rhythms and tempo. Major minus points, though, for not having a proper snare drum sound. Plus, there is a serious bug with the rating system. You're not supposed to be able to rate the same song twice, and if you try to do it twice in a row, you can't. But if you close your browser and then come back, you can. Repeat as desired to sabotage or over-inflate the ratings of any song you like. Still a great game, though, I can't believe Punk-o-matic is rated higher than this.
Seriously, you guys, one-hit death is pretty standard for this type of game. "Easy to die" doesn't necessarily mean "hard not to die". Just pay attention, and sharpen your skills!
I don't see what everyone's problem is... I finished the game and didn't find it very buggy... the tilting car only happens when you're sloppy at the edge of a platform. If you play the game well, it's not a problem. The only problem with this game is that it doesn't have a sequel.... with about 50 levels!!
It's a great game, but I'm afraid it's going to give me Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Seriously, am I the only one who gets viscious cramps in his mouse hand from playing this?
I was really, really enjoying this game until I found a bug. I got stuck in the trees in the lower left of the screen with the girl with the hairy legs, and had to start over. Darn. Great game though!
I feel the exact opposite way. I wanted to NOT like this game as soon as I started playing it, and saw that it was a kind of crummy black and white Missile Command clone with a dumb name... But then seconds turned into minutes and I had to admit I was having fun. I actually think it is the extra guns and powerups that make this game. Combining the spread shot and the big explosion powerup leads to fun times. I dunno... maybe I just like any game that lets me fill the screen with explosions. Anyway, the game does start to get challenging after level 11 or so, although there is some slowdown by then. In conclusion, I would say that although this game could definitely use some sprucing up (music, colour, a bit harder to get the killer powerup combo, see what you can do about the slowdown, maybe the occasional non-string enemy or even bosses) I still think it is a decent little game, and that the basic concept of Missle Command + insane firepower is a fundamentally sound one.
I found a bug.. I placed a shot directly into the upper left corner, and it got sandwiched between the enemy paddle and the wall. The enemy paddle got stuck halfway into the wall, and jiggled there for all eternity.
Hooray for shmups... especially sidescrollers! Way too few of these being made these days. As for the difficulty, nobody said these games were for the faint of heart. Looks like some people have gotten a little soft from playing too many 3D, semi-interactive Hollywood productions over the past decade or two...
